2 Years Earlier.

Tick.tick.tick.boom. I get out of my seat and start to put my papers in my 1 inch sky blue binder. I walk over and put my calculator back in its cubbie then run back grab my books. by this time most of the people in my class have already left the classroom and new ones are appearing. I start to the door where I am shoved by a boy who apparently had no manners. When he brushes past me I seem to lose balance and my books crash to the ground with a thud. I hunker down and start to pick up the books I lost so I can get to my class on time and not be late. when I am done picking up my books I look up to see a snickering Alex Rider staring right at me. I knew once I looked at him he had pushed me down. when he saw me look up at him he had a hint of sorriness in his eyes, but I quickly stand back up. looking at my supposed to be last period teacher and say I am sorry and that I tripped then walked out of the room. Not even glancing at Alex. As I exited the room I ran to my locker and started to grab my books and head on my way to my next period class. I get there just as the bell rings. Mrs. Connor gives me a glare but I really don't care considering that I have an actual reason. I walk over to my seat and plop me and my books down before turning my attention the the smart board and opening my notes. I sit there in science with a blank expression on my face. it's not that I don't like science it's just I'm not good at it. Like last semester I had a D- in science which my parents were not happy about, but they only grounded me for a week and if you ask me I got off easy. I jot down the notes my teacher Mrs. Conner had written on the smart board. I only jot about 10 more notes before I finally here the amazing sound Beep. Finally I can leave this place. As I gather my notes up once again I am headed threw the door and into the sea of people. Me being 5" 2' and all isn't a good mix when your in high school, but I guess that I was born to be short person. As I push past people I see the opening that will lead me to my locker. only to my surprise I find The Great Alex Rider standing right in front of my locker pacing back and forth.
"Hey Ellie." Alex says while ruffling his hand threw his hair.
"Hi Alex." I say with a skeptical look.
" I just wanted to say I'm sorry my friends dared me to push your books on the ground and I did, but when you looked up at me I saw the twinkle in your eye and I regretted doing it. my friends were laughing. so I decided to laugh with them so they wouldn't give me weird looks. He says this as he is staring at the ground as if to say he really was sorry for what he did.
"Don't sweat it I have people push me and make me drop my books all the time. Plus I have done that to a few kids myself. My friends gave me dares but no need to get into detail. So overall it's ok that you made me drop my books." I say looking at him. Once he figures out that I am done he looks up with a smile on his face. With that he walked away. As he leaves I turn to my locker and plop my books down onto the ground and start to turn the combination. I turn my combination 12-47-36 it's takes a while but I finally get it open. I grab my books, shut my locker and go about my ways to my next period class. I walk threw the door and head over to my seat in the third row. Just as I take my seat I here a large beep, and then my teacher starts to talk about the French Revolution. I try to stay awake as she is explaining about the war. Once she is done talking she passes out a worksheet. As she hands it to me I ask if I could use the bathroom she says hurry up then moves on to the next student. I stand up and go up to the podium on the side of the room and start writing my name on the line. I then grab the pass and head out the door. I walk down the hall way looking at the white tiles with blue speckles. As I turn the corner I bump into none other that Alex. When he looks up from where I bumped into him he sees me and puts on a smile.
"Hey Ellie." He says before making his way on the other side of me while we walk down the hall side by side. I walk with him staring strait ahead, but from the corner of my eye I see that he's staring at me.
"Hey Alex." I say and tilt my head to look at him as soon as our eyes make eye contact he looks away really quick. I laugh a little laugh before he answers back to my greeting.
"How are you?" He askes while looking at the ground. He almost looks like he's shy or something. I mentally laugh at that thought. The great Alex Rider would never be scared to talk to a girl would he?
"I'm good and bored." I say mentally smacking myself. "What about you." I say trying to recover from my previous answer.
"I'm good I was just about to go back to the classroom." He says with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face.
"Well that's good." I answers trying not to sound stupid.
"Ya, I have a question." He says stoping dead in his tracks and turning to me. I smile at him and start to answer him.
"What's your question?" Asking him in a questionable tone.
"Well us being neighbors and all we used to hang out all the time, and then we stopped hanging out, and I miss hanging out with you, and having you as a friend so I was wondering if you wanted to be friends again." He said and then turned and started walking again. I followed him again walking beside him trying to think threw what he just said.
"Sure I will be your friend again. I mean why not." I say and I mean it I mean being friends with Alex is a secret wish that just came true. As we keep on walking I see the water fountain a short distance I skip over to it take a quick sip of the crystal clear water before slipping back to Alex. I guess this wasn't going to be the worst day of my life like I thought.
