"Goodbye Russia!" You said as you waved out the window of the plane. You were leaving your home country of Russia, the place where you excelled at skating, to go to the new land of Tokyo Japan to train. You were only 16 but already expected to go to the Olympics representing RussiaFor figure skating by the next Winter Olympics.
You woke up from your deep slumber to the announcer saying you had arrived. You excitedly got up from your seat, grabbed your luggage and exited the plane. There waiting for you was none other than your cousin Alisa. She was picking you up so you could surprise your other cousin Lev who had no idea you were here.
"Y/N? IS THAT YOU?" You heard Alisa yell.
You rolled your eyes as everyone stared at you, recognizing your name from all the times you'd been on television. "Yes it is, now quiet down, there's a reason I'm wearing sunglasses inside" you said hurrying over to her.
"You've gotten so beautiful!" She said a bit to loud. "We have to hurry to surprise Lyovochka during his volleyball practice!" She said yanking my arm almost ripping it off.
We ran to the exit, quickly jumping in a cab. We went straight to there home where I'd be staying for the next couple months. I quickly dropped my bags, put a mask on to further hide my identity and ran back out the door.
"Come on!" Alisa shouted. "The gym isn't far so we can just run there."
You wanted to protest because to be honest, you were exhausted from the long flight but you knew it wouldn't change her mind.
She dragged my arm until we reached a big school building."This is it!" She said, jester ing to the big school entrance. "Now, remember the plan?"
"Yes" you said rolling your eyes. "I follow behind you with my head down and when you say 'I've got a surprise' I look up and take off my disguise" you said trying to remember it all so she wouldn't lecture you on it like she'd done for the past week over the phone.
"Lyovochka!" Alisa yelled, walking into the gym. The sound of balls hitting every surface completely stopped. "I have a surprise!!"
"Is it a dog?" Lev said sounding excited.
"No you dummy, it better than that!" Alisa responded.
Before Lev could guess again you popped out from behind the door, taking your sunglasses and mask off your face.
"Y/N?!!!!" Lev yelled like he didn't actually believe what was in front of him.
"Hey my favorite dumbass" you said in a snotty tone. "So are you just gonna stand there or give your cousin who just came all the way from Russia a hug!"
Lev immediately ran up giving you a big hug, towering over you whose a whole 5'4. "Я скучал по тебе, тупица (rough translation of "I missed you dumbass") you said digging your face into his sweaty chest.
"Oh yeah! I guess I should introduce you to the rest of the team" Lev said, breaking your hug.
The team looked confused, and a few you could tell knew who you were because they just looked mesmerized.
Lev went down the line introducing each of his teammates. But there was one that caught your eye, he was sitting off to the side. Was he playing a game? You thought. You shook it off and went back to meeting the rest of them.
"So Lyovochka," you said slightly making fun of that ridiculous nickname Alisa had given him "what position do you play?" You knew practically nothing about volleyball but you decided you would pretend to for the sake of lev.
"I'm the Ace!" Lev said with a big smile that only lasted a second before he was hit by two different teammates. The boy who was playing the game earlier, hit him on the back of the head and a short dude with blonde hair, smacked him in the gut.
"Hey! What was that for?" Lev said sounding a little offended.
"You're not the ace you idiot" you heard the boy, who you now remember was named Kenma, say in a calm almost bored voice.
You chuckled at the boys bluntness. "Imma ask you again then Levy" you said, making fun of his name yet again. "What. Position. Do. You. Play." You asked lightly punching him between each word.
"First off. Ouch!" Lev said looking at you with a pouty face. "Second off. Did you seriously come here just to make fun of me?"
"Nah, you're not that special giraffe boy" you said jokingly then your tone immediately changed to serious. "I came here to train with the best!"
"Train?" A boy with jet black hair sticking out at ever angle asked. Kuroo was it? "What do you mean train? You play a sport or s'mthing?"
"I'm a figure skater" you said leaning on the wall behind you. "I'm getting ready to enter the Olympics representing Russia" you said a little annoyed.
"WHAT??!" A boy with a shaved mohawk yelled.
"Don't yell" kenma told the rather obnoxious boy. "You're going to scare her idiot."
"Haha yeah" you said rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly. It was always awkward telling people because it sounded like you were showing off when that was definitely not your intention.
"Y/n is amazing!" Lev said shaking my shoulders. "You guys should come to her practice sometime! I haven't seen her skate in person in forever but if it's anything like how I remember you guys will love it!"
"Lev you can't go inviting people to my practices" you said smacking the back of his head. "But I guess you guys can watch if you want"
"Gomen" Lev said rubbing the back of his head.
