When you meet at a cross roads,
You see me carrying loads,
Sadness weighs down my shoulders,
They're as heavy as boulders,
You're eyes show sympathy,
But all I feel is pity,
Deciding to have hope,
You come to me as if attached to a rope,
You ask me if I'm fine,
All you get is a sign,
You see that I haven't awoken,
From that I am broken,
All I see is black and white,
You say things will be alright,
And for that I believe you,
Because you sound so true,
You then bring color to my eyes,
You annihilate my cries,
Because there is light,
And it's in my sight,
It's so bright,
That I don't fright,
Because you've helped me,
To be free,
You've helped me cross hardships,
While I believe in those lips,
But the main reason I don't fright,
Is because you are my light.
