We landed at Beacon and proceeded to exit the plane when I was shoved out of the way by some blonde haired guy. Rolling my eyes I followed alongside Nora and Ren to the entrance of the school. We held simple conversation while walking, we talked about why we wanted to be a hunter/huntress, favorite foods, favorite colors, etc. finally after exploring the school we sat down outside. "Hey (Y/N), what was your childhood like?" I stiffened up at Nora's question, memories of that night running through my head.

"I'm sorry but, I'd rather avoid that topic." They both looked at me Nora's look was of pity, and Ren's was understanding. Nora finally went back to her happy personality . "That's okay, you don't have to tell us anything until you're comfortable with us knowing!" I smiled gratefully at her.

After a few more minutes we got the message that it was time for us to head inside. They tried inviting me to sleep near them for the night but I declined, after the earlier question my minds been filled of memories from the accident. I found a secluded corner away from everyone to sleep. I laid all my stuff down and comfortable in my sleeping bag before looking down the wall and seeing and blonde girl and a girl with reddish brown hair talking to someone with black hair and a bow, before someone with white hair started arguing with the red brunette. Rolling my eyes I laid down ready to sleep.

I opened my eyes to see my childhood home, how am I here? What's going on?

"(Y/N) sweetheart dinners ready!" I heard a strangely familiar voice yell. I walk to the kitchen to my mother standing over the stove. Her (M/H/L) (M/H/C) hair was pushed behind her ear, her bright (M/E/C) eyes were double checking to make sure everything was perfect.

I couldn't help but stare. "Mom?" I said she never turned around, almost as if she couldn't hear me. I decided to try again.

"Mom!" I yelled but this time I heard a child's voice with mine. I turned around to see a child on a mans shoulders, more specificly me on my dads shoulders. My mother turned around smiling at us. I stood there watching the memory. Admiring my moms bright smile, giggling at my dads lame jokes, and enjoying the time when I was actually a happy child.

"Mom, when is Roman coming to visit?" 6 year old me asked. I remember I really missed him back then, now I'm happy to get a second of peace away from him. "I don't think it'll be anytime soon." Oh how I wish she wrong. I figured out what memory this was once I saw my outfit. My favorite pajamas, or at least they were my favorite. After that night I burned them, I hoped the memory went with them, but apparently it's fireproof.

I enjoyed the memory a little longer.

"Bye I'm going to the park!" The park was right down the road from my house so I went there everyday. I let myself go, I've tried to stop myself so many times before but it was always useless. Then it happened, the memory jumped from me closing the door, to standing outside with the fire burning brightly. Everyone trying to put it out while I stood scared, worried, guilty. They found out the fire was caused by a lit candle, My lit candle. I saw Roman run to me and hug me, saw him whispering to me, trying to help me. Then came the voices.

Its your fault

It should've been you

you killed them

you're a monster.

They won't stop, I can never get them to stop. I closed my eyes, gripping my hair.

"It's only a dream I've gotta wake up, it's only a dream I've gotta wake up, wake up damnit," I keep repeating those words till I'm screaming them them.

I sat up looking around me in fear, I'm still in Beacon, I'm awake now. I put my hand on my head and feel sweat, dragging my hands down my face I realize I'd been crying too.

I jumped when I felt a hand touch my shoulder, turning around I see Ren squatting next to me. "Oh hey Ren."

He looks at me for a second before speaking. "I got up to get some water when I saw you sit up, are you alright?" I didn't see him when I looked around, then again I was looking for flames not people. "Yeah I'm okay, just a bad dream." I gave a weak smile hoping he wouldn't ask about it. I think he understood because he just offered me an unopened water bottle. I took it, uttering a thank you before chugging the cool substance down my throat. I didn't realize how thirsty I was till that moment. "I'm sorry to have bothered you Ren you can go back to sleep if you'd want." He opened his mouth to respond before another voice cut in.

"I hope it's okay that our stuff over here, I woke up after Ren walked away and overheard the conversation." Nora looked at me holding two sleeping bags and two backpacks. "I've heard that sleeping around friends help keep nightmares from coming back, I dont know how true it is but we can try." She gave a small comforting smile, while I slowly nodded my head. "Yeah that's fine, we need as much sleep as we can get before tomorrow anyway."

We all got our stuff set up again and closed our eyes. Thankfully, the nightmare didn't return.
