hoseok could say pizza was undeniably the best food he'd ever tasted. the two were sat on the same bench once again, licking away at their ice creams, which they had bought on their way back after dinner.
they sky was a musky grey now. the festive lights shining all around the town didn't allow the darkness to fully blanket their surroundings.
yoongi silently looked back on his day. he was proud of himself for making a great friend in such a short amount of time. hoseok had truly made his shitty christmas better. all this time, yoongi hadn't once thought about his mother who had left him. about his family that had fallen apart on christmas, out of all days. no, he felt happy, instead. heck, happy is a huge understatement. he felt as if he was glowing. his heart buzzed with an unusual warmth, despite the icy weather. jung hoseok was a wonderful person; yoongi couldn't ask for a better gift in his life. and as soon as he realized this, he blurted out, in a shivery voice, "thank you hobi."
"huh?" hoseok snapped his head towards him.
"thank you," said yoongi, in a bolder voice.
"for what?"
"for making this the best christmas of my life. i really enjoyed your company today."
hoseok internally cooed at how pretty the elder's words were. "thanks to you too, hyung. you're the first person to ever stay with me this long. i hope we can still be friends after this."
"of course."
once again, they fell into a cozy silence. and yoongi fell into another deep thought.
what was going to happen next? he had randomly met hoseok, just hours ago. they had become pretty close, but what now? yoongi would have to return home. it was already getting quite late. his father might call him home any time soon. he really, really didn't want to leave hoseok. just thinking about it made him frown lightly.
jung hoseok seriously didn't deserve to live such a treacherous life. he was a charming soul, the brightest yoongi had ever seen. just thinking about him brought a smile to yoongi's face. for what felt like forever, but was only a few minutes actually, min yoongi couldn't stop thinking about the gorgeous boy next to him he had everything yoongi always wanted in a friend. and the more he thought about it, he realized he would love to date someone like hoseok. he came to the conclusion he might have a tiny crush on him.
funny, how someone he met only hours ago, could make him feel fuzzy all over his skin. he knew what he was about to say next might ruin this kind friendship, but min yoongi had made up his mind. there was no going back, now that he'd finally gathered up the courage and the words-
"hoseok."
shit. that came out a bit too loud, startling hoseok as he quickly turned his whole body to face the other.
yoongi let out an airy chuckle before continuing, "i- i think i might like you." which earned a confused look from hoseok. noticing this, yoongi clarified, "like- romantically."
oh...oh.
hoseok's mind seemed to be short-circuiting right now. yoongi seemed to be...romantically interested in him? no, maybe he just dozed off and this is a dream.
upon hearing no response from the younger, yoongi sighed. he should have known hoseok wouldn't like him back. why did he even try? now it'd be all awkward and he'll have to explain himself out of this situation. hoseok would look at him with pity and tell him he'd find someone better. someone he deserved.
but before yoongi could start his speech on how it's alright for hoseok to reject him, and that he'll be fine, the other spoke up. looks like he had fixed whatever wire went loose in his brain, huh.
"i like you too, gi. don't be worried. i was just shocked you felt the same way," he said, blushing a mad red.
over the course of the day, hoseok had enjoyed the elder's company. he felt grateful to have someone, so as endearing as min yoongi, approach him. hoseok won't deny the other was fucking hot. yet adorable at the same time. no matter how much he tried he couldn't resist the charm yoongi possessed. no matter how much he tried, he couldn't help but bloom a small crush on him. now matter just how much he tried, hoseok couldn't stop his mind from fantasizing about his new friend.
friend.
that's all what he thought they were going to be. yet here they were, confessing their feelings towards the other, on a bench in a park. cliché fiction shit.
and while you, my dear reader, took the time to read the last two paragraphs about shitty things called feelings, yoongi and hoseok had shifted incredibly close. so close, that they had a microscopic view of each other's godly features.
a smirked tugged it's way on hoseok's lips, as he slowly leaned in even closer, till his forehead rested on yoongi's and their noses lightly brushed. yoongi started to feel light-headed, as if he was falling from a high. the male before him was just angelic, with eyes like an abyss, one that yoongi was slowly drowning in. but he was struggling. he drowned peacefully, letting himself be drifted along by the waves of fresh love.
he couldn't resist any longer. he swiftly connected their lips together, engaging the younger in a sweet, gentle kiss. very soon, they found their rythm, and danced their lips along with it, focusing on nothing but each other.
