Chapter 5 - Bakugo's Pride

"Number 1? That's a great goal to have and honestly, I think you could do it if you be more compassionate than explosive all of the time." Camie smiled before taking another sip of lemonade. "You were able to make that kid drop his pride and have fun. That is what is going to make you a hero greater than All Might. It's not all about power."

BOOM!

Both young heroes looked outside instantly. "An explosion?!"

Bakugo was the first to jump up and run out to see what was happening. He was well equipped with mini-grenades. He made sure to be prepared in case anyone was dumb enough to attack the city district.

"Bakugo, wait!" She ran out after him to see him attacking a bulky man in a black and silver trench coat.

"DIE!" Bakugo launched himself at the man and went in with an explosion attack charged in his right palm.

The man grabbed Bakugo's wrist and spun him around, throwing him into Camie.

He hopped up and charged at the man again. "You'll pay for that!" He jumped into the air and used his quirk to propel him towards the man. "Eat this!" He went in for an air kick but the man blocked it and countered with an energy-powered punch, knocking Bakugo back into Camie again.

"One more time!" He hopped up but before he could move, Camie blocked his path. "GET OUT OF THE WAY!"

"No way, José." She folded her arms.

"THE HELL YOU CALLED ME?"

"I can help, Bakugo."

"Move!" He jumped over her and went in for another attack only to be met by the same result.

"You hero brats never give up, huh?" He folded his arms and walked towards Camie and Bakugo. "Out of respect for your determination, I'll tell you my name. I am Power Smasher!"

Bakugo got up and smiled. "Remember my name because when I'm number 1, you will know that I beat you. I am KATSUKI BAKUGO, KING EXPLOSION MURDER!"

Camie got in front of him and held her arms protectively and started blowing out mist.

He wiped his mouth. "Camie, don't get involved..."

"Shut up, Bakugo!" She retorted. "I'm helping you no matter if you want me to or not. You're not the only hero here!"

For the first time, Bakugo wasn't pissed at the command. This girl, Camie, was showing him her true self as a hero. Obviously, she could see this enemy was strong but here she was standing, ready to face him. She had earned his respect and not much could do that. "Alright, but don't slow me down!"

The mist transformed into multiple Bakugo illusions. "I'm going to show you that we're going to be number 1!" Their voices were identical to his.

The original Bakugo smirked and ran towards Power Smasher in preparation. One of the illusions ran in with a punch.

"Oh no, you don't!" Power Smasher swung his fist into it and it turned to mist.

"Over here!" Another illusion kicked towards him and when he attacked it, it became mist.

"I meant here!" One came kicking from the sky before being turned into mist.

"Hey, you; DIE!" Bakugo appeared before him with an explosion charged in his right palm. When his palm connected, the blast from the explosion had knocked Power Smasher back.

"Don't forget me!" Camie dashed at him and reverse-side kicked him. When he fell, Camie dissipated the illusion and smiled. "That double takedown was totes awesome!"

"I got to admit, your quirk is cool but it's not as cool as mine!" He smiled as he approached the downed Power Smasher. "As for you, the cops are going to lock you up nice and good."

"You'll pay for meddling, just you wait."

"I'll be waiting." He laughed and walked over to Camie. "And now, to you, I think we have a meal to finish."

"I guess we do!" She winked as she pulled out her phone. "Hey guys, you wouldn't believe who I'm hanging out with today. It's Bakugo and if you don't know who that is, check out U.A High School! He's one of Class 1As top students and the winner of the Sports Festival!"

"Who the hell you talking to?"

"My vlog! I was going to shoot a video and take pictures today and so far I've been doing just that." She explained. "Now, come say hello to my viewers."

"No!"

"Aww, he's just grumpy but then again, he's always grumpy." She giggled. "Bakugo is pretty much camera shy."

"Why don't you stop spewing lies?!" He marched over to her and took the phone from her and point it at himself. "I'm not camera shy! I don't know how you watch her and survive."

"Someone is a bit jealous, huh?"

"I'M NOT JEALOUS!" He yelled.

"Maybe not but I did get a reaction out of you." She laughed and took the phone back. "Anyway, that was Katsuki Bakugo. I'm Maboromicamie! TTYL!" She ended her little video broadcast.

"Maboromicamie?"

"That's my hero name." She cocked her head on a side. "What's wrong with it?"

"It's annoying to say cause it's so damn long."

"Oh yeah, King Explosion Murder?"

"GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?"

"Yeah! It's a terrible name!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!"

"It's a terrible name," Camie repeated.

"YOU WANT TO DIE?!"

"Why are you so cute when you are quiet and so monster looking when you're pissed off?" She giggled. She would hate to admit it but he kind of hot when he was angry.

"Well, why don't you go find a boyfriend to call cute and annoy?" Bakugo folded his arms as they got back to the restaurant.

"Maybe because I'm not allowed to date. Were you not listening when I said that?" She entered the restaurant after him and sat down at the table where they sat earlier.

"I heard you on that and like I told you, I would break some rules."

"Fine then, if I'm to find a boyfriend, I nominate you, Katsuki Bakugo." She grinned like she was challenging someone.

"ANYONE BUT ME!"

"No can do, Bakubae."

"THE HELL DID YOU CALL ME?"

"Bakubae too scared for a girlfriend."

"I'm not scared of anything!"

"Then go on a date with me and date me for a month and if you hate it, then you can just let it all be forgotten."

"You're on!"
