Trimester One Month Three

Sang's POV:

You'd think that after 3 months I would be used to the fact that I'm pregnant and all the things that goes with staying in good health.

In the last 2 weeks I have learned facts about pregnancy that surprised me. Today is another day that Gabriel and Kota thought we needed more facts.

"Hey trouble did you know that babies are always listening even before they're born. A baby as young as two days old will recognize his mother's voice, even if he only hears one single syllable" he says as I'm sitting on the couch wrapped up with Luke and Nathan.

"Aw that's cute" I say running my fingers through his hair as he's sitting on the floor with his back near my head.

"Oh here's a interesting one" he says "Scientists in Norway found that if a newborn is placed directly onto his mother's stomach right after birth, the baby will start to use his arms and legs to slowly crawl to his mother's breast to nurse. The newborn then latched on and started to nurse unassisted" he says with a smirk

"EWWW Gabe that's gross" I say cringing. One thing I won't be doing.

"Sang its natural" says kota from the other couch across from us.

"What if it's a boy" I ask increduesly. Honestly that would be weird.

"It doesn't matter the gender sweetie you'll be just fine" he says with a calm smile.

"Here's one Gabe" says Kota "Your baby loves the sound of human speech. This is part of the reason why his early language includes imitating words rather than a ringing phone" he says.

"That means that Gabriel and North need to watch their mouths" I say "That goes for all of you"

"Here's a neat one" Gabriel says "Your baby is connected to your emotions and your feelings  even before he's born. Researchers had pregnant women listen to different types of music via headphones and then tracked their baby's movements with an ultrasound. If the mom was listening to music that she enjoyed, the babies moved around more. While many babies move around when music is playing, the headphones meant that the babies were responding to their mother's emotions and not the music itself" he says

"Which is pretty cool if you ask me" Luke says "If Sang's happy the baby will be too" he says kissing the top of my head.
