Burning Love (Ninjago Kai x Reader)

~Chapter 2~

When you got home, your mom told you to clean up the house because your new neighbors would be over in a few hours. You cleaned up and then decided to go out for a little bit. You still had about two hours until they came over, so you decided to hang out with your friends who lived one neighborhood over. You started playing a game of baseball with your friends and lost track of time. You were covered in dirt and scratches when you finished. You skateboarded home as fast as possible. You had on a f/t (favorite team) baseball cap, a f/c hoodie, and black jeans. You put your skateboard in the garage and went inside. You saw a man, a woman, a girl that looked around your sister's age, and someone in a red hoodie that you couldn't see properly. Your mom called you over. "Y/N, what happened?" your mom asked in a slightly angry voice. "Well- uh- I was playing baseball?" you responded. "Okay, go upstairs and wash up, you're covered in dirt," your mom told you. "Fine, whatever," you told her going up the stairs. You washed your face and switched into a different hoodie and jeans. You kept your hat on. When you got downstairs, your mom called you over. "This is my older one, Y/N," your mom told them. "Why don't you kids go upstairs or outside?" the woman asked. You noticed that your sister and the girl were already gone. "Uhh hi? I'm Y/N," you told the boy who had his hood up. Suddenly, he took his hood off, "Ohh, you're that girl from school today, right?" he asked. "Yea, and I'm guessing you're the dude that asked for my number?" you asked back. "Heh, yea," he said kinda sheepishly. "So you're the kid that moved in next door I guess," you continued. He nodded, looking at his phone. You rolled your eyes and were about to pull out your phone when he showed you the score to today's baseball game. You smiled at him and the two of you went to your room and watched the game on your laptop. Pretty soon, Kai had to leave. "See ya, Kai, " you waved. "See ya at school tomorrow Y/N!" he smiled.
