(Point of view of a village girl, named Mabel)
It was a normal Saturday in Ozryn. The young boys were playing knights in the line of trees near the huge stone church, while the girls were making daisy crowns in the meadow. All of the young maidens were waiting upon prince Adam's arrival, he visits town every Saturday, for his parents, King Oswald and Queen Edna wished him to find a wife among the town girls. The richer the lady, the better chance she had, if she was beautiful enough of course. I was one of the most rich, and the most beautiful. I just know he'll pick me! He even said hello at me the other day! He's obviously in love with me, he just doesn't want to admit it.
And there he was! On his regal looking cream coloured horse, he was decked in his blue and gold jerkin, with his navy cape, trimmed with swirling gold patterns. Black curly hair framed his icy blue eyes, that showed no emotion, but hid his love for me. Adam's black leather boots gleamed in the late afternoon sun and all the young ladies collectively let out a swooning sigh, and rushed towards the prince to greet him. He jumped down in a clean leap from his horse and walked towards us. He looked bored, but he probably wanted to hide his blatant admiration of me from the rest of the girls, not wanting to make them jealous.
Then, something odd happened, he walked straight through the crowd of ladies, into the overgrown forest. The thing is, nobody goes in there. It's the home of dire wolves and monsters, but won't come out until you lead them. At least that's the talk around town. We watched as he stepped into the line of fog laced trees. A lone wolf howled behind the darkened tree line, and then he was gone.
