Dearest Daniel Davis and Charlie Thomas,

I honestly know that you wont remember me at all or dont even know who i am, but your names were written in my diary in 2013. As you may recall you did a duet for the Australian Open for the women's finals and were amazing. Kudos to you two. I saw you many times that day whilst waiting in the many tunnels of Rod Laver as we were just about to sing the National Anthem. Apart from rehearsals I literally had nothing to do that day so i imagined names for you, and your backstories, and basically everything. So it was decided that you had been friends since high school and are quite similar. You both love the colour red, you listen to Boy & Bear, you dislikes musicals yet love music.
Imagining what your life was like was quite fun and i know that thinking back on it was quite weird but I've realised that most people do it. We subconsciously categorise people and stereotype them into acting a certain way and behaving according to those rules. I know you may not be anything like that but my brain has been wired to do that. Everyones brains has. So despite you two being complete unknowns to me, i managed to find out more about you.
Well via Facebook. I know its weird but it was school holidays and i honestly had nothing else to do. Sorry. I saw Daniels name tag and found out your real name is Joshua Rogan.
I dont know how you are taking this, but think of it as flattering. You are basically celebrities and so feel privileged to have had me look through your Facebook friends to find the real name of Charlie Thomas. This was incredibly hard cause all of your friends look the same. Boofy blond hair holding a brass instrument.
Yet after a while of scrolling through your oh so many friends, congrats on your popularity by the way, i found a this other guy. His DP was of him and some girl facing away from the camera on the edge of a pool. I think i have it saved somewhere cause it was such a nice photo. Byt my search for your real names stopped there cause i realised that maybe i wanted you to remain unknown. Maybe i didnt want to find out every piece of information about you both. I didnt want you to fit into my stereotypical boxes so i aimed to find out about your individualities to defy my brain, but maybe i didnt need to look you up to realise that everyone is different and should be seen as such until proven not.

So yeah, thanks for helping me realise that people are different.

From Me.
