Chapter 6

The result of the first screening is out and Cheongmyeong Company have made it to the top five finalist, competing to win the bid for the Smart city contract.

Dosan is treating everyone at a café to celebrate their win for, clearing the first step. Being in the top 5 has given everyone a confident boost and now, no one is being shy about, how desperately they wish to win and not doing this only for an experience sake.
 Chulsan reminds everyone not to forget on their promises they made to the group, especially Dosan as his is the biggest of them all. Dosan smiles at Dalmi and assures everyone that he wouldn't.

Dalmi doesn't know how to react to this, again. First time being in the office where the whole thing started when, everyone was asked to say one thing they would do, incase they win.

Dosan had so casually said that he would propose that, Dalmi's mind couldn't register it while, her heart did a double back flip. Him saying those words with such a straight face; so boldly in front of everyone, didn't help either and it felt to her as if, it was her mind playing tricks and not the actual reality.

The second time he said it, it definitely didn't seem like to Dalmi that, it was all in her head. She thought her heart would explode. She needed to regain control over her heart. Deep down she wanted it to open up and let it hope and dream of actually winning the bid followed by, Dosan asking her to marry him but, right now she wanted to focus on what's in front of her.

Being selected in top 5, beating companies, way bigger than theirs meant that, their technology was far superior and she thought its time they scale up the business. Everyone agreed that, doing this was the most logical next step for their business.

Before they could dive straight onto the next task; Dalmi wanted to give everyone a day off to unwind themselves as everyone had been grinding themselves at the office for long now.

"How do you want to spend this day off?" Dalmi asks Dosan excitedly.

Dosan looks at her intently, thinks for a few seconds, smiles and then answers "Lets have a celebratory dinner with your family tonight at your place. Nothing too big, we will keep it simple, play some games, watch a movie. We will ask halmoni to cook for us, any chance to fatten us up, makes her very happy."

Dalmi gets instantly excited upon hearing this. Its been long since her family has done something like this. "Chincha? Okay... lets do it!" Dalmi can't stop smiling.

"I'm calling halmoni, eomma and Injae to tell them about the plan. Let me call Jipyeong and inform him too."

It was always her, Jipyeong, halmoni and eomma who, used to do such things together before, Injae mended all family bonds and Dosan came back into Dalmi's life and both become part of the family again. After that, Dalmi still made sure to call Jipyeong for family night as, without him the circle felt incomplete.

But lately, her reasons for calling him has changed. Dalmi has begun to see some spark between Injae and Jipyeong and she has been trying to play cupid ever since. The last time they were together she even saw some flirting. Dalmi wants to make sure to keep this fire going.

Everyone is having a great time at dinner. Halmoni has outdone herself with the preparation of food, in celebration of Cheongmyeong company, passing the first screening. All of them can't stop praising her cooking and devouring the food at the table.

Injae and Jipyeong are sitting together at the table, making jokes and laughing at things only those two can fathom. Dosan is sitting right in between Halmoni and eomma, chatting away, catching up with each other like old friends meeting after a long time.
