Olivia had avoided all signs of life for the next month.
Her life consisted of going to school, sitting in the very back without talking to anyone and going back home afterwards only to contemplate if she should reopen her account.
Yes. She deleted her account after her new finding and even though it pained her to do so, it hurt her more than to see the notification of Jungkook's sudden hiatus. In a way, knowing that he was taking a break most probably because of what had happened on the horrid day made her feel guilty.
But she wouldn't let such a feeling take over her blind anger for the boy.
Dawn had repeatedly tried to contact her, asking her what was wrong and even going as far as following behind her like a lost puppy all the way to her apartment complex.
All it took for her to get off Olivia's ass was the brunette screaming that she was a "clingy bitch who can't take a fucking hint."
The look on Dawn's face still made Olivia's heart hurt and she remembered crying when the girl had wordlessly left.
Part of Olivia's anger was also because she had acknowledged how toxic her jealousy towards the blonde girl was. She hated how she could be so cunning towards such a loving person and the thought was enough to hurt her pride.
Hadn't she suffered enough? None of her pride was intact and she felt the little amount of self-esteem she had built slowly crumble down.
She didn't have the confidence to even apologise so she just kept quiet, barely listening to her professor and staring mindlessly at the wall throughout her lectures.
And on a much colder day finds herself sleeping in the back of the classroom. This is the first time that something like this has happened and Olivia winces painfully at the feeling of the cramps on her back from the painful position she was resting in.
The professor must not have noticed her because the lights are completely off, the lecture hall completely empty and the pages of her notebook also completely empty.
At least that's what she thinks when she looks over to her side, finding Jungkook in the same position she was just in.
The girl can't even find the energy to be angry at him, too tired and humiliated to sit through a confrontation. So she just stares at him.
She studies her face. Noticing how obvious it was that the camboy was Jungkook. He had the same dewy lips, a single mole right under them. His eyes, though closed, were still big and doe.
Hell! He had even used his initials, how in the world had she not figured out that it was him.
Maybe it was denial.
She really didn't want someone who she admired to be the same person she despised. When Olivia found out she felt lied to. In that moment she was angry that he hadn't told her anything but now she understands that he had to. That's why he always wears a mask during his streams.
Olivia really doesn't understand his reasons but now she doesn't know who the real Jungkook is.
Is he putting on a sweet persona for the camera or is he putting on a cocky attitude for his peers?
Olivia can't and won't believe that those two complete opposite personalities can belong to one person unless he's bipolar or something.
She looks down at the sleeping man, pushing a single strand of hair behind his head. Her frown deepens at her train of thoughts, scared to actually admit that JK might not be who she thought he was and Jungkook might not be who she hated.
It isn't like she knew his JK persona personally but...sometimes she felt like she did.
From her peripheral vision, Olivia notices Jungkook stir slightly and before she can leave his eyes crack open. He stares at the girl who has her eyes exhaustedly slanted at him and just the mere thought that she didn't slap him awake or run away after seeing him here makes a smile appear on his precious face.
"Olivia." he says softly, sitting up quickly and trying to take the girls hands in his own. Olivia slightly flinches back, not really wanting to interact with him but then she thinks; 'If you didn't want to talk to him, why didn't you leave?'.
So, she stops herself and sends a smile at him as well but it only looks like a wince which makes Jungkook reciprocate the facial expression, thinking he did something wrong again.
With a deep sigh, Jungkook musters up any kind of courage he has in that moment and looks Olivia deep in her eyes, a serious expression taking over his face.
"Can we please talk?"
----
"Can you please talk?" Jungkook asks anxiously, watching the girl in front of him silently sip at her scorching hot cup of coffee. She stays quiet, deep brown eyes wandering around the cafe, watching couples giggle and college students intently tapping against their keyboards. Truth be told, she doesn't know what to say and nor does Jungkook.
"Please say something." Jungkook pleas, squeezing his hands in tight fists, his knuckles turning pale and completely white.
Olivia clears her throat, "Why were you sleeping next to me in the classroom?" she asks, looking at anywhere but in the eyes of the wide eyed man.
Jungkook smiles when hearing her voice, the grip on his fist lessening and relaxing around his cup. "Well, I wanted to talk to you and when I came up next to you, you were asleep." he says, taking a sip from his cup of coffee. "So, I just sat down next to you and I guess I fell asleep."
Olivia nods and another uncomfortable silence takes over them.
"I'm sorry." Jungkook starts after a few minutes of silence, looking at her face for a reaction. Olivia stiffens at the words but doesn't comment. "I couldn't tell you I was JK and I'm sure you understand that. I'm just sorry that I openly mocked you about it, even when it was an accidental slip." he mumbles, heart pounding against his ribcage like a wild animal.
The brunette girl nods, giving him a tight lipped smile. "I know, I overreacted but it still felt like so much of my pride was taken away from me. I don't even know which persona you put on was real and which one was fake. I feel like-"
"They both were." Jungkook interrupts Olivia abruptly. "They both are, it's just I purposefully acted more arrogant and cocky in front of you so you wouldn't figure me out. I um- Well, I knew that...that you knew about JK." he whispers the last part even though they both know this information.
Jungkook's eyes wander around. "I'll do anything for you to forgive me. This means more to me than you would think..."
"What do you mean, Jeon?" Olivia asks impatiently.
"Just- Just trust me, alright? I'll make it up to you. I promise."

TW: Cannibalism & mentions of sexual assault.
This chapter is a lot worse than usual and I apologise. I found out about the Armie Hammer situation while writing and that really affected my motivation which made for a shitty chapter.
I just wanted to say that it's absolutely disgusting how someone can talk about raping and eating someone alive so casually. Out of all the controversies this was one of the absolute worst in my opinion and all the evidence that was provided made me sick to my fucking stomach.
Have a great 2021 everyone😃😐
