A leap for Teresa

Chapter Two

Leaping around in time can be a lot of fun I have been a mum before a taxi driver now a little girl.

Sam had never been a little girl before so he tried to channel his inner little girl and said to his mum.

"good just had a bad dream that's all but all is good now what's our surprise mum?"

Samantha signed

"sweetheart, the doctors office called this morning they said that they found something in your DNA that was quite peculiar and they need to do a blood test just to be sure it is what it is....."

She said, with tears in her eyes.

Samantha knew that both of her girls were fine but she didn't know that, there could be something wrong with one of them.

Sam looking worried plus interested says to mum.

" why what's wrong? What did they find? "

Thinking to himself that this new information that was about to be told could be another reason why he found himself in Teresa's life.

"they found some half chromosomes in your DNA, baby and they're trying to make a diagnosis of what it is"

Samantha said trying to calm down.

This new was so heartbreaking to Samantha.

Sam could see his mum was so upset she he walked over close to her and put his arms around her and gave her a very big hug and said trying to be reassuring.

"don't worry mum you can only do your best I know this isn't the sort of news anyone likes to get but if you just be the best you can be we can get through anything together as a family OK mum?"

Samantha smiled at her and gave her a kiss.

"alright. Also, what do you want to eat? You and I have a big day ahead of us."

She said looking at her.

Meanwhile project quantum leap

2020 the waiting room.

Al presses the door control and enters the white /blue room.

Teresa now in Dr becketts body was looking a little bit scared she was hiding underneath the table that stood in the centre of the room and Dr beeks was trying to reassure her.

Al walked up to both of them and looked at Sam and said.

Teresa was sitting drawing a pretty picture of her, her mum and her dad and her sister.

Al was just about to get back to the imaging chamber to let Sam know on the new information when he noticed the little girls drawing on a piece of copy paper.

He kneeled down in front of her.

"hey Little girl. I've heard that you have been having problems in your life.

Do you mind telling me? That is.... If you want to I'm not pressuring you in any way."

Al said, looking into her brown eyes and holding her hand.

Teresa looked up from her drawing.

" the truth is, Al is that it's lonely being one of a kind in my home town. "

Then suddenly she found it hard to remember anything and continued to say.

"I can't remember"

Trying really hard to remember.

Al said trying to help

"it's OK don't worry it's just the by product of what brought you here keep trying to remember honey it will come back to you."

Then her memory returned
And she continued to say.

"not a whole lot of people accept me. I have been bullied left and right by my best friend lily's brother Joseph.

He bullied me to the point where I almost ran away."

Teresa said, with tears in her eyes.

Al nodded in understanding.

"I see don't worry. Teresa Sam and I will get that problem fixed soon OK we promise."

"so why did you have to have your blood drawn a second time?"

He said, drying her tears.

"because they found a couple of split chromosomes in my DNA and when trying to figure out a diagnosis. In fact, just after this blood draw, they figured it out."

Teresa said, looking at her vein.

Al nodded

"don't be scared I'm let Sam know not to be scared OK?"

He said, in reassurance Teresa nodded and began to go back to her drawing.
