Love Not At First Sight

Chapter One

   "That's it for today hope you guys enjoyed! Bye!" I clicked the stop stream button and closed up my setup as I walked lazily over to my bed.

   This is me, September May, and I know two months in one name how "fun". The ironic part is that my birthday is on September tenth how lucky! I'm almost fourteen though! I just finished streaming. I'm a pretty famous streamer with 6 million subscribers and growing, but my identity is still unknown to my online friends and my viewers. I didn't even tell my friends in real life, because they will probably make fun of it and I'm a pretty private person as well so I'm keeping the secret. I'm starting ninth grade tomorrow so let's just say I'm excited! Me and my bffs have been waiting for this day our whole lives, well more me than them but still! High school's when you find yourself and what your meant to be for the rest of your life.

PING!

   My train of thought was disturbed and I looked to the side to see a notification on my phone from my online BFF known as Libra. I picked up the phone and unlocked it to see what he texted.

Libra,

Hi Nixie, you excited for your first day of high school?

   I giggled. Even though me and Libra don't know much about each other outside of the internet we became pretty good friends and I told him basically everything without giving away any personal information. We only really know each other's age and give vague ideas of what happens with our life.

Me,

Ofc! I have been waiting for this moment my whole life!

Libra,

Ik...today's stream was good especially the part when everyone was asking for our age!

Me,

Yea but to be honest not even our other online friends know our name and they were curious too so it makes sense

Libra,

Yea I guess, Goodnight!

   I set down my phone and drifted off to sleep excited for the adventures to come the next day.

RING!

   "Aaaww c'mon 5 more minutes, why you gotta be like this phone!" I whispered to the inanimate object. Wait! It can't be! I checked my phone and saw the date. "YYYEEESSS!" I shouted in my mind. It was September fourth the first day of school! I hopped out of my bed, grabbed my dress I so neatly set out and went to the bathroom to get ready. I walked out of the bathroom face washed, fresh, and ready to go. I had my long black hair out with two small cat buns at the top. I had put some make up on my slightly tan skin and made sure to not overpower my big hazel eyes which I usually feel insecure about due to their size. I was wearing some high-waisted acid wash ripped jeans but not to ripped, because first of all I'm not allowed to and secondly I don't like to show much skin. I was also wearing a slightly cropped pale bluish purple top ; it was my favorite color. I also wore glasses as usual I had like those retro glasses with rose gold metal on the bottom half of the frame. I usually don't wear my glasses while streaming because I can see everything near me and my sight isn't that bad.

   This year is going to be different. I lost weight and tried my best to "glow up" this summer. I've gotten some confidence from my sudden YouTube growth during the summer so I decided I want to go out for Vice-President. Even if my even more social, confident, insecure but doesn't show it, overachieving best friend, Melody Stevens is going for vice-president too who cares! I can do this!
