Quick to Love

Prologue

This must be a joke. My eyes are deceiving me. I hold his phone in my hand mulling over what to do.

I wish I hadn't checked when I heard the message come through.

I look back at the screen and re-read the text that has got me in such a state.

I had such a great night last night :) I can't wait to see you again to continue where we left off...

Maybe I am reading too much into it. It doesn't actually say what happened.

No be serious, the last part clearly shows something happened between them.

I pace back and forth.

I knew this would happen. Doesn't it always.

It's like my love life is some sort of joke. Sydney Shaw is never allowed to be happy.

I start to feel hot all over and I can feel my heart rate rising. Anger starts to bubble over and I throw the phone on the couch.

How could he do this to me? 

I think back to when we first met and to be honest why am I surprised by this. The signs were there from the beginning.

I should have trusted my instincts and never got involved with Austin Evans.
