"Well if the noise came from the hallway, why did you look in my room?"
"If you lived with yourself, you would understand why I thought that it was you trying to pull a prank, but since you asked, will you go with me?" I gave him puppy-dog eyes; he always falls for the puppy-dog eyes.
"Fine, but if you are pulling a prank on me, you are done for," Naaje grogilly grimaced.
I waited for him to get down from his bunk bed, growing more and more annoyed as he took as much time as he pleased to get down. Once he got to the second from the bottom rung, he paused to pretend to yawn, so I dragged him the rest of the way down and placed him in front of me to go in the hall as a human shield.
He stepped forward to tilt his head into the hall and his face went blank.
"Naaje what is it?" He didn't reply; he just stood there and continued to stare out into the hall.
"Naaje!"
'Naaje,' a voice from the hall says playfully.
