"Eddie?" The woman said looking over at us confused.

"Uh, Hey Mama." He said rubbing the back of his head awkwardly.

"Hey baby. And who may this pretty young lady be?" She asked smiling over at me.

"Good Morning ma'am, my name is Dorothy Dandriges." I answered as I stretched my hand towards her.

She smiled on as she shook my hand.

"Good morning, Dorothy. My name Nettie Morgan. But you could call me Mrs. Morgan." She said happily.

"Just in case he didn't tell you his name, it's-"
She was about to say until her son answered for her.

"Edward, Edward Morgan." He said smirking as I looked over at him.

I smiled and looked back at his mother.

"That was rude." His mother snapped.

"Sorry Mama." He said respectfully.

"It's okay. Now I came to tell you I'm working late tonight and that you father called out from the plant, so he will be home with Mona. You can go to your gig tonight." She explained.

"Yes!" He shouted making me and his mother jump.

"Eddie you scared me." His little sister Mona cried.

"I'm sorry Mona. I'm just happy is all." He said looking at the both of them then at me.

"Well, I must be going. I have groceries in the car that I have to put away before they spoil. It was nice meeting you Dorothy. Please don't let my son bother you with his music talk. It's all he ever speaks about." She smiled as she left out the store.

I giggled and looked over at him to see that he was a little irritated.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. She just loves embarrassing me." He sighed shaking his head.

"So you have a "Gig" tonight?" I pointed out as he watched his mother out the window get into the car. He turned away and looked at me.

"Oh yeah. I play with my band at this lounge not to far away from here. It's called "Noir". Did you wanna come see me play? It starts around 8:00." He explained.

"Id love too." I answered.

"Cool. Cool." He said smiling.
