Till I Met You

Two months later Jeongyeon was forced to accept Nayeon's invitation when her brother Jaebum married her cousin Taehyung's ex-girlfriend. Rumors had it that JB just stole Minatozaki Sana from Taehyung who was supposed to marry the girl. Until Im Jaebum enters the scene and messes things up.

The wedding was held in the vast garden of the Kim's. And as you might expect, the whole Kim and Im family is there, except for Taehyung.

The wedding ceremony was over when Nayeon got back next to Jeongyeon. She sat down in the empty chair at the young man's table. But her eyes remained fixed on the whereabouts of his brother and his wife.

"Are you sad or happy for your brother?" Jeongyeon asked staring intently at her face.

She sighed. "Honestly, Jeongyeon, I don't know if I'll be happy for JB or angry because of what he did." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Only heaven knows that my feelings are divided on this occasion. And what pains me most is the knowledge that Tae is hurting because of what my brother did..."

His eyebrows met of what she said. "Don't tell me you love him more than you love your brother, Nayeon."

"I love them both..." she said quickly. "But in different way." The energy returned to her voice when she saw something. "Anyway, Jeongyeon, after all, the whole family is here, I'd better just introduce you to them. Grandma Kim is excited to see you again, you know? And my cousins are all dying to see you!" She stand and pulled the young man's hand.

JEONGYEON was stunned. He could not understand how he always tolerated Nayeon easily. And he is thankful that the gathering is only for the family and close friends are present beside the relatives of JB's wife.

"Do you see that girl next to Mom?"

He followed Nayeon's  gaze until his eyes rested on the girl next to Mrs.Im and even talked to some peers who's about Nayeon's age.

"That's my youngest sister Jihyo. Or Jih as we fondly call her. She don't looked like us, do we? I mean me and mom." The girl shrugged. "But she looks like Grandma Im."

Jeongyeon agrees. But the truth was, he was getting bored to tears. Yesterday, he was again involved in a dangerous operation. And he was tired- physically and mentally. Surgery can drain the brain in addition to being nervous.

Well? What Nayeon introduces to him is interesting if he is not just exhausted.

"Of course, the one next to her is Mina. You've already met, haven't you? And that's Tae half-sisters, Jennie and the other one is Jisso."

The girl looked up at his face. Her smile was mischievous and her eyes twinkled.

He rolled his eyes and looked up the sky. "Need I say it, Nayeon? You are the most beautiful of them all..."

"That depends on who the one who said it is coming from," she replied contentedly.

"C'mon, I can see Grandma Kim and Grandma Im ." She led him to where the two old women were.

When they approached where the two of them were, they already smiling. And Jeongyeon did not expect that Mrs.Kim will hugged him.

"Jeongyeon, dear, this is a surprise! We haven't seen each other in long time."

"And I'm so very glad to have met you again, Ma'am," he replied  pleasedly. "How are you?"

"Here, taking care of my grandchildrens." The old woman smiled and looked at the whereabouts of Mina and the others. Then she turned to Nayeon. "By the way, dear, have you introduced Jeongyeon to the twins?" "I didn't see Dahyun anywhere, Grandma," the girl snapped. "Also, Chaeyoung is also out of circulation. I believe he's leaving for LA tonight."

Mrs.Im's eyes narrowed slightly at what she heard but it remained silent; although there is anxiety in appearance. She looks at the whereabouts of her granddaughter Mina while Jeongyeon continues to talk to Mrs.Kim. Nayeon had already left their sides and went to where her cousins were.

SO, WHAT NOW?" Jennie asked Nayeon. "Are you and Dr.Yoo Jeongyeon already together?"

She gave an exasperated sigh.

"What?" Her cousins rolled their eyes. "Dear, for a month you were almost alone with the company of that person in Busan and so far no result? Have you lost your touch?"

"His too elusive..."

"Is that so?" Jisso said. "Then drop him, Nayeon. What did that doctor think of himself? All I heard was that the foundation brought him to school..."

Jihyo raised an eyebrow at Jeongyeon's whereabouts. "My Nayeon! His not that good lo-"

"Stop, Jih," she cutted her off.

Why does she feel that her cousins and sister herself did not like him for her? They just noticed Jeongyeon's flaws. And why should it bother them anyway? She herself who love the man doesn't mind his flaws. Considering that she is the one who encounter with the bad part of Jeongyeon's personality. She tried to release a smile. It was heartbreaking the she lookd at Mina. "Mina, are you ok?"

The girl stunned. "O-of course." She took a deep breath. "Oh yes, Nayeon," she said in an inspired voice, "I've met your doctor up close and personal. That's him, isn't he?" She looked at Jeongyeon's whereabouts still talking to the two old ladies. "And I think he's nice. I mean, if I had only met him before Cha-... you, I might have fallen in love with him too..."

"Mina?" Jihyo  who was distracted by what her cousin said.

Nayeon helped her quickly. "Is that so? And Jeongyeon said he likes you, too. But my apologies, darling. The doctor is mine and he's just mine."

Mina sighed in relief as the three mistakenly sighed. Nayeon understandably nodded to her.

Im Chaeyoung was leaving for Los Angeles tonight...
