The Basilisk

She quickly ran to the nearest underground tavern when Damien ended up sprinting in her post. She swallowed hard realizing how abandoned was the place, it was so creepy, the atmosphere was haunted and the ambiance was spooky. It doesn't look like an old tavern, the space is empty and she can hear splashes of water. Hence, she continued entering the place and searched for atleast something big enough to hide.

Prince Van ran to the opposite direction, Elysian stayed at the boulevard while the twins mockingly went to the tavern. She's sure they saw her there, especially Damien. He's so playful and she hates how the young echelon behaves towards her as if she's nothing but someone to mock.

She hid herself behind a rock. She remained silent and alert, and by that, she began feeling strange things. Well, probably because her sensing ability is awake. Indeed, there's a wide area of water somewhere inside, maybe further because she can hear splashes and waves as if someone or something's swimming. May tao ba sa abandonadong tavern maliban sa kaniya? O kaya naman ay may kakaibang nilalang? It feels so creepy that she covered herself with the cape.

Ano na kaya ang ginagawa ng kaniyang Ina? Kapag nalaman nitong nawawala na naman siya paniguradong gigisahin na naman siya nito. Natitiis niya pa ang pananakit ng Ina, ngunit hindi niya siguro makakaya kung sumpungin ito sa Eufrata at ipahiya siya. Napaluha siya sa sariling iniisip. Her mom needs healing fast, but how if Almira herself doesn't want to? She was thinking deep, so deep that anyone dives in would drown.

Kung wala pang pumasok sa tavern ay hindi makakabalik ang isip niya sa kasalukuyan.

"You know, if someone goes down this freaking tavern...she'll be cornered. What do you think, Damon?"

Shit! She gripped her cape. How bad are these guys? Bakit ba hindi nalang siya nito pabayaan? Noong una'y niloko siya ng mga ito sa Abyss, pati ba naman sa Eufrata ay paglalaruan siya ng mga ito? That's probably too much, why don't they just leave her alone?

"I think you're wise at that part, and too dumb to mention my name. If someone is really hiding down here, she'll be alert of our entrance." Damon cockily said.

Celestial silently sighs controlling her breaths. Pakiramdam niya'y ang pinakamaliit niyang kilos ay lilikha ng malakas na tunog. Natatakot siyang mahuli ng mga ito dahil unang-una sa lahat ay wala siyang laban. What can sensing ability do against Terra and Demise ability?

"And you're way dumber, the way you louden your voice will make that someone more alert. Such a brilliant act, brother. You were born clever." Damien laughed.

Celestial swallowed hard when she realized they were steps away from her post.

"Come out, we're not the bad guys." Damien said, honesty in his voice, "Come on."

She just hid there, until someone's foot barged in her place shocking the hell out of her. She immediately got up and ran away entering the very in of the abandoned tavern where she thinks the water splashes came from. Her jaw literally dropped with what she saw, she stopped running, she remained unarmed on her post as she stared at the unusual things at the center spot. A basilisk statue.

Narinig niya pa ang paulit-ulit na reklamo ni Damien na nagulat sa kaniyang biglaang paglabas. Malutong pa itong napamura at napatalon palayo sa kaniyang lugar dahil sa gulat nang bigla siyang bumangon. His eyes were wide in shock, ganoon din si Damon na naghanda ng sarili na akala mo'y aatakihin ng batalyon.
