Chapter 5

❝We are soldiers and family.❞

　Loud sounds of thunder shook the windows. Flash of lightning shine the night clouds. There's a storm coming. And here I am, opening my eyes at 1am. One sleepless night, the sounds of rain and storm became my friend. It was another nightmare who woke me up, it was so scary that I can't sleep anymore. It's getting worse every night.

　Dark stormy night. No lights, loud sounds everywhere, cold breeze blowing strongly, it's scary. Especially when you're alone. Once, Father said when you're scared of storm, hug a pillow tight and think about nice things. But it seems that it's useless for now, Father.

　Yesterday I couldn't fly, Brother helped me. You said if I could fly I can find you from anywhere, right? It's okay, I'll fly right away. I'm sure, I can do it.

　But if I were able to fly, where are you, Father? Where I could find you? Are you there somewhere searching for me? I hope you're not worried, I'm fine here. There are hard times and problems, but I'm fine. Just wait there and I'll find you for sure. I hope you don't chase after mom before I come to find you.

　The clock is ticking, time keep flowing. The morning comes fine but I haven't sleep. Usually Lulu will come and woke me up but now he's at Raven's lab for some modifications. Brother's still not home yet, so I spend the morning alone then finally heads up to academy.

　"Mimiii!!!"

　A girl with two braids suddenly jumped and hug me tightly. It's Anna, Maria's little sister and my other best friend. She's super sweet and kind girl, she's good at cooking, sewing, and also painting! A perfect housewife if I would say.

　"Mimi, are you okay? Did you got hurt? Oh my god your face is so pale! Did you sleep well last night?" Anna bombarding me with questions.

　"I'm okay Anna, really! I'm just tired, that's all. But I'm perfectly fine, don't worry!"

　Anna hugged me again with a relieved face. She's like an angel to me, although we're a soldiers but she always worried when I got a few scratches. I wonder why such person like her got into QUARTZ.

　Then there's Lucy. Stern, assertive, and hard-working person. A total opposite of Anna. When I got hurt, she would mock me then hit the injured part. Speaking of which, is Lucy here?

　I walked in to the classroom and saw Lucy walking towards me with an angry look. She then hit my head really hard, it hurts so much that my head ringing loud. But after that she smiled at me.

　"You know, Mika, there's a new cafe that opens tonight. Won't you go out with us?" Lucy asked.

　"Oh yes! There's also a bunch of new dresses on the boutique near that cafe! How about we go there before going to the cafe? Since it's almost Princess Emilina's birthday!"
