Chapter 12: IS IT A "YES"
As all other days, Harshie started her day with opening Amond's chat. They are already used to each other's morning messages as best friend does. But, again Harshie wanted to confirm whether Amond's feeling are still active in his heart or not and is it sincerely placed genuinely for her.
While getting ready for their school in the middle of chatting, Harshie asked Amond for a day to hang out and to spend with. Harshie was excited since it going to be a day to meet face to face as friend since previously, they always meet up as school competitor or enemies only. They both confirmed to meet up on the upcoming weekdays since weekend both families are really busy with their own family gatherings and schedules.
In order to make it happen, Amond lies to his family that he is having soccer practice on the day while Harshie lies that she is having group study with her classmates at school. As we knew, Harshie is a girl who aware of all consequences, so in order to not awkwardness feel the environment she really did invite her friends who are her dearest Pheobe and also Salena, that also was friend with Amond once upon time. With those great excuses, they able to succeed in meet up as planned.
Harshie went to the restaurant that was confirmed venue to meet up with her friends and wait eagerly. Every minute, she does check her phone so that she would not miss any message from Amond. Then, she and her friend decided to take a walk to the corner shop to buy some stuff. That moment, there was a weird guy with mask on his face and cap on his head and he totally look like a stalker. Even Harshie's friend got the chills when pass through him and he suddenly just grab Harshie's hand, in that terrific moment, the girls just wanted to save Harshie from that weird guy so Pheobe took pepper spray and sprayed with full of heart at his eyes. He let go Harshie's hand and start shouting and tell: "Harshie , I'm Amond" , God ! Damn! the pepper spray really works well.
The girls just got stunned and Harshie just run and bought an ice water from the store for Amond to wash his eyes. After few moments, all the girls sat in front of Amond at food table with their guilty looks in their eyes. Luckily, Amond let it go for once and he just find it funny since he distinguishes himself so that other eyes that watching them would not recognize him and create rumors since he and the girls are from different popular schools.
Meanwhile, they order food. Harshie seems nervous to sit infront of Amond while Amond was totally fine. This again rise the curiosity for Harshie to ask how he could be so fine in front of her. After have their lunch together, the girls realize that Harshie and Amond need some time alone to sort out all. The girls leave them alone for a while under the reason they need to prepare something for upcoming events in the school and told Harshie that they would come back in awhile once they done with it.
This moment, Harshie take chance to asked straight forwardly whether Amond still having feelings on her or not. She did ask and Amond reply boldly: "I still got my feelings on you and I am sure one day you will realize it. Until then I will be your friend so do not worry of the rest ". Harshie's heart skipped a beat when she heard those lines from Amond's mouth itself. After tell that, Amond again reset himself and behave normally again as a friend and ask Harshie for a walk.
With the breeze air flawing, the girls come back after some time to fetch Harshie and Harshie says her Goodbye while Amond just stand and reply her Goodbye with waving hand and a smile.
Harshie goes back to her home, she just goes in her room and locked herself to make herself calm since her brain is blank and her heart is not stop pounding from just now. She took her phone and put call in conference of Pheobe , Salena and Qishin and told them what happened when she asked question to Amond for clear her mind but it just does not work anymore since the answer he gave is making me going crazy and feeling this unusual symptoms that I never felt before in any of my previous dating experiences . The girls just answered her question, it is because all your previous guy was an online guy that you never meet before meanwhile Amond is someone who is lively and I guess he is so frank about his feelings to you. Why not you give a try? Who knows he is the one who were searching for these days!
With all of these advice from her friend, she decide a decision. She took her phone and message Amond to check whether he is still at the place that they met up just now. Fortunately, he is due to raining he could not catch any taxi or bus to go back home.
Harshie took her umbrella and step out her house, and she just began to run. She did not use the umbrella at all, she just run with her hoodies on her head and umbrella on her hand. Her feet stop right in front of Amond's. She opened the umbrella and raised her hand so Amond could be fit under the umbrella. She pulls close Amond and tell him that it is easier that we would not have to meet as friend anymore. Amond just feel shocked with her statement and he try to negotiate with her so he could be still a friend for Harshie but Harshie does not seem interested in it. She just grabs Amond's hand and put it over on the umbrella's handle and she start run again with her hoodies on her head.
After few small run steps, she stopped and look at Amond and tell that: "It is yes for you so let's stop being friend and get in serious relationship today onwards call me on 10.00 pm tonight". Amond stood blankly under the umbrella on the rains drop that filling on the road while she continues her run to back to home.
