4 | The Party

She finds a photo album in her attic. What does she do?

Present. 25th December
Sofia's dad set up a theatre outside to start a movie marathon.
"Home Alone " was definitelythe first on the list.
It began to rain at the end of the movie.
They all rushed inside, soaking wet. They laughed at the chaos they created.
"Sweetheart you said you found something in the attic " Dad said while he dried his hair.

"I'll get the album!" Sofia said and headed upstairs to her room.
She just kept on thinking why the weather was so strange, it was like that since she left the airport.

She entered her room and took the album that's when she thought someone looked at her, she left the room with the album....She was right below the attic. She looked up and the door closed immediately, before she could do anything, her dad called her.

"What happened? Are your pictures that embarrassing?" Her dad said

"I'm coming!" She said and didn't do anything about the attic.

She came downstairs and sat on the couch right next to In-jae.
Everybody gathered around.
When she opened the first side of the album-

A loud thunder.
It read "Sophie's album years -2000-2004"
They flipped the pages of the album.

"That was when we were in Italy and Fia ate the whole pizza..." Her dad said

"And that was in India!" Mom said

"And you were playing in the mud......" Dad said

"The rest of the pictures are from Italy, London and here in Pasadena" Dad said

"You did have a weird sense of fashion!" Caty said

"I was ten Caty" Sofia said

"Do you remeber any of this?" Mom asked

"Yes! I surprisingly do!" Sofia answered

"I'm taking this with me to New York." Sofia said

"Oh no you aren't! It will stay here with me!" Sofia's mother  said

"This is potential black mail material in Caty's eyes !" Sofia said with a small whine
The Christmas day came to an end
Everyone slept on the couch.

About 2:30 a.m
There was a sound coming from the attic.
It grew louder and louder and that's when Sofia woke up.

She squinted her eyes as she woke up to see what it was, that's when she realised it was coming from the attic.

She left her room and went to check the attic.
She took the ladder and slowly climbed up.
She opened the door and quietly entered the attic. But as she opened the door it creaked so she didn't find any point to be quiet anymore.

The moon's light entered through the window.
It was a full moon. All of a sudden it became really cold as she took a few steps in front, she heard something near the mirror and went near to check it.
The crack was still there
"That album.....the album" a voice said

She immediately turned around to see a girl on the rocking chair.

"Who are you?" She asked terrified...she had multiple questions popping in her head but she got all her focus back to the girl when she said again

"The photos.....the album" she said again leaving Sofia clueless about what was happening..who she was
"What are you trying to say?" Sofia said now completely looking at the rocking chair.
The girl tilted her head. She had blue eyes...light brown hair.

"I said the photoalbum! You-" This time she screamed. Sofia couldn't believe what she saw. The girl turned around, she noticed she had bruises on her arms and legs, blood dripping from the back of her head, Scars all over her face.
She took a knife which was near her and started approaching her.
Sofia took some steps back and hit the mirror.

"The photoalbum......the pictures....." She says as she is coming near her

"You will find all answers there!" She says in a hoarse voice and she throws the knife at her and then -

"What answers-"
