Chapter 4: The Ugly Truth

Two weeks since we last went out, we were both busy with works with the auditors coming in and whatnot and I just realize he was out for a few days.

The very next day I sees him, he was smiling so happy and chirpy and people kept congratulating him.

The only thing that crossed my mind was he had a promotion but that went south when I heard my colleague are congratulating him on his engagement.

I felt like my whole world stop.

I felt like I was choking on air.

I felt like something heavy just draped down on my shoulder.

I couldn't think straight anymore that I headed for the washroom, letting out a silent cry.

The whole day I've avoided him and I knew that he knew.
