She observed the house for a moment.
The house was plain and simple. Completely normal, but at its sight, her heart was pulsing at a dangerous speed.

Y/N had accepted Taehyung's request.
So now, she was standing infront of his first love's house in the town of Camellia. Well, said like that, it sounded really crazy.

Taehyung was unpacking their luggages out of his Tesla's trunk. The young man was strangely wealthy, but he never mentioned why.

Why would she accept this? Regret was slowly creeping up in her. She wanted to get closer with Taehyung and it seemed like visiting his ex lover's family would make him happy. Was it really a good idea?

A middle age man came out of the house, followed with a young boy around the age of 14. The older man had gray hair and stunning brown eyes. His body was fit and from the car in the alley, it looked like he owned a construction business.

The teenager looked at Y/N, his hazel eyes looking at her with excitement, but he remained quiet. His long auburn hair was partially hiding his blush.

"Oh, Taehyung!" The older man called out.

The young man lifted his head and walked to the owner of the voice. He hugged him and the boy.

"How have you been doing guys?" He said to them.

"Fine, we're doing fine," The older man started." Now even better."  The man continued , smiling to the young woman.

Taehyung grabbed Y/N's hand and pulled her closer to him.

"Liam, Louis, this is my girlfriend. Y/N.
Y/N, this is Ava's father and little brother." The gentleman presented them to each other, grinning.

They politely greeted each other. The young lady had learned previously that Ava's mother had passed away eight years ago.

"Woah. She's gorgeous." She heard Louis whisper.

Taehyung chuckled.

"Indeed." Taehyung whispered back.

"Well, let's go inside." Ava's father said.
He took some of the luggages who were on the pavement and headed to the house, leading the others in.

Y/N was weirdly enjoying this dinner.
Ava's father, Liam, was sitting at the end of the table. She was sitting on his left, facing Louis. Taehyung was on her right.

Liam and Louis were lovely people. The dynamic between Taehyung and them was heartwarming. However, she still felt ashamed and uncomfortable that she was sitting with Ava's ex and family.

She should have been the one here.

She thought.

"So Y/N, tell me. Where did you meet Taehyung? He only told me that he had a girlfriend and didn't say more." Ava's father, Liam, interrupted the young woman's thoughts.

"Oh well, we met on the campus-" She answered.

"So you're also a UCLA student?" Louis asked with a curious tone.

"Yes" Y/N answered, politely smiling.

"What department are you in?" He questioned.

"I'm in the Art department."

"So you're an artist, huh? You do seem like a creative person," Liam said.

Y/N shyly agreed.

"What have you been doing these days?" The man asked, taking another bite of his food.

"Nothing serious, just doing a few portraits." The lady answered.

"What do you mean ?" Taehyung started. "Don't listen to her. She has been doing amazing things. Look." He spoke again, taking out his phone out of his pants pocket.

He handed the phone to Liam, in Louis's sight. He had look up some of the art pieces that Y/N had posted on her Instagram account. Her portraits were beautiful, full of colors and patterns.
They were unique and astonishing.

"Oh wow," Liam exclaimed, obviously getting emotional. "They are really familiar and feel similar to some pieces that I saw a long time ago."

He paused for a moment.

"Obviously, you know what happened to my daughter." He continued with watery eyes.

Y/N nodded timidly.

"Yes, my condolences Mr. James." She replied with empathy.

"Thank you. I wanted to know," He hesitated for a second. "Could you do a portrait of Ava please ?" He inquired, taking everybody by surprise. He pulled out a picture out of his pants pocket and showed it to Y/N.

It was a picture of Ava. She was really charming. She had long brown curls and breathtaking chestnut eyes, just like her father. She had long black eyelashes with rosy plump cheeks.

Taehyung's clenched his fist at the sight of his ex's girlfriend. Memories flowing back to him.

"Of course." Y/N firmly accepted.

The young couple was currently at Taehyung's childhood home. It was actually a mansion. The young man came to get a few stuff he had forgotten, since his mother and big brother moved out.
Y/N took the opportunity to come with him to learn more about his childhood.

Walking in the different rooms, she saw a piece of paper on an old desk.
