Chapter Five: The Surprise.

It was near the end of January 1992 when the Muggle studies teacher stood in the Great Hall of Hogwarts to make an announcement "Over the course of the past few months, I have had the pleasure of working with the Hogwarts Governors, Ministry of Magic and young Mr. Harry Potter on rewriting the Muggle Studies course at this school for those not yet taking your O.W.Ls in the subject, I have been told there is an option for yourselves to take the new course exams should you feel up to the challenge and you are indeed within an exam year, and for those who want teaching in this new course specialists are being hired to teach post Hogwarts classes should you wish for proper qualifications within Muggle Studies" she began "Now, this new course is set to begin on February 3rd, however as a special treat to begin the new course, Mr. Potter has offered a weekend trip to tour the Viscounts new facility over the 1st and 2nd of February giving a view into the advances within the Muggle world the new course shall cover in some ways, as he has more knowledge on the facility and the logistics, I hand you over to Mr. Potter to cover what shall be occurring over the two day trip" she spoke, Harry stood but so did Dumbledore

"I did NOT Authorise any such trip" he spoke glaring at Harry, with narrowed eyes

"If you remember Professor Dumbledore I invoked the Hogwarts Charter towards yourself and as such did not need to consult you, I arranged this with the Ministry, the board of Governors of this school, the relevant teachers, Muggle businesses and my own contacts to ensure this was all legal, and would run smoothly, I had no reason to alert yourself to this rather as protocol states I consulted my chosen Headmaster Lucius Malfoy, only make you aware before the Trips date which the announcement just given has" Harry returned,

"Any trip of that scale cannot be exclusive per year group, that would be discriminatory for second through seventh years" Dumbledore protested "Hogwarts Charter Section 3 on Discrimination" he stated smugly

"why, I hadn't thought of that, Section 3 Subsection 5C on Student Condition, of course" Harry began if only to see the victory in Dumbledore's gaze "of course If I did consider Section 5C on Student Condition I'd know what I'd have to have booked roughly 1000 rooms for all Students and Professors in a hotel beside my property ready for an entire school trip into the Muggle World and naturally if I had done that I'd want to at first announce a smaller trip so see if I didn't need all of the precaution" Harry then spoke, Dumbledore turned red

"YOU CANNOT TAKE ALL MY STUDENTS!" he began to bellow

"THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU ALBUS DUMBLDORE. IT'S STUDENTS ARE NOT PROPERTY" Harry roared over Dumbledore "I AM LORD TO MY HOUSES, INCLUDING THREE HOGWARTS HOUSES, I LITERALLY OWN THIS BUILDING, AND THE LAND IT RESTS ON, YOU ARE SIMPLY THE HEADMASTER OF THE ESCTABLISHEMENT RAN WITHIN THESE WALLS, NOT THEIR OWNER, I am not taking your students I am treating them and all Staff needed to supervise them to a tour of the new Viscounts studios before they are open to the public February 2nd, and they are all to be guests of honour on that day... Permission letters have already been sent asking parents if the students can go, Letters have been sent to ask if Parents wish to attend on the 2nd and all arrangements have been authorised, YOU have NO say in this, if you wish to attend you may, that is all, the property the studio sits on is my own, I own the property and I shall throw you out if you act against me, There shall be a ministry presence there evaluating the space, and I believe Minister Fudge has replied that he would love to attend on the 2nd to see the location" Harry spoke, his voice echoed around the room with power as he claimed ownership of the castle, the very stone approving his control.

Harry turned to face the student body "When classes end Friday the 31st of this month we shall all meet within this room, I have arranged for Muggle clothing of all styles, sizes and types to be brought into this school so all of you who do not possess such clothing may acquire enough for at least 4 changes... that is a precaution, I have arranged for those who possess other Muggle clothing to gain new items also so as to not create a divide between those with better clothes, I have through connections and the Ministry of Magic arranged for a large number of Portkeys to take the us all to an organised space inside the Ministry of Magic, the Muggle Government has given us permission to exit through the above ground building in Whitehall where I have organised a number of busses to take all Hogwarts students to the Viscounts location, now I wont exactly be with you all as I am sure the others arranged the Tour Bus we'd commissioned for myself, Draco and Jonathan to get there first and be ready to get you all organised for the evening and the night, now much of the activities, tours and other events shall be discussed on the first morning rather than before the trip, what I will say is that we have enough clothing bought and organised that each student should be able to acquire three if not four outfits for the trip, please take no more than three if there are clothing items left we shall see how many, I ask you are respectful while on this trip, Muggles, Squibs, Muggleborns, Half-bloods and my Honorary Godfather who has lycanthropy Remus Lupin all work, organise and shall be working with all present on the trip, if you cannot be respectful and polite with these people please let Professors know, While all food and drink and room service is paid for while you occupy within the Hotel I ask you be mindful that it is myself and your parents paying if you go to far, a payment slip on the permission letter has established a fund that has been transferred into Muggle currency should you wish to purchase items on this trip, there shall be a signing event where me and the other Viscounts sign items of Merchandise purchased or free posters if you want one, this trip as any other is not compulsory and so I hope any of you shall be able to inform professors so we can get firm numbers of attendants, if anyone requests to remain behind and is listed as paid your money shall be converted back to Galleons and given to yourself if you're old enough for Hogsmeade,
