Prelude
In the year 1560,18, a rebellion unfolded within the holy kingdom of Kyros, that would bring about the resurgence of the wars for the dominion of the earth, which began sometime after it was perfected by the Maker. There are many stories prior to this time, and many more to come. Yet this bridges the gap between all stories before, and behind. (1500,00 is based on a dating system unique to the world in which this story takes place.)
Now in this world, the people of the earth were not divided by race but by cultural differences and regional alliances. On most continents, the races were often mixed except for certain tribes or nationwide settlements who were indigenous to a particular location, and were culturally set apart from other nations. There was no such thing as Spanish, British, German, Slavic, or otherwise by title. Men and women were identified by the region or nation wherein they were born, no matter what they looked like. There was usually a shared language within every nation, although many different groups of people had their own languages that would still be identified as something rather familiar under different names. For example, in the case of a British faction that remains racially pure because of their culture, that faction in this world is called Kinarian. Otherwise, a specific language or accent would just be identified plainly as British (for the reader's sake).
In the early onset of the first century of the 156th millennium, a great and powerful king governed the ever distant northeastern kingdom of Kyros, whose name was Michamsai (Mick-am-sigh) of Bacriidian (Arabic) descent, known for his campaigns to set people free from tyrannical rulers and laws. This enabled them to live upon the earth on their own terms, however peaceably and with care for the lives of fellow men and women.
What business does a king have setting people free from the rule of other kings, one might ask? Though a king himself, Michamsai maintained his title for the sake of preserving peace and balance throughout the earth. With throngs of kings and emperors on the rise in recent years, he would need to keep his position as king in order to ensure that his voice could be heard in the council of other rulers. It would also ensure that his name would be recognized by other ruling parties. For the sake of those whom he would free from their lordship, the rulers would know never to uproot or take captive any people who were protected by the name of Michamsai, especially after suffering a terrible defeat at his hand. His identity also allowed him certain freedoms that were not granted to common folk such as direct access to resources that supplied him the means for having some of the best defense systems and intel in the world. However, where, how, and to what ultimate end he acquired his kingly title is yet to be discovered.
In all of his time as king he traveled much of the earth and had grown well accustomed to the mannerisms of human nature with its many nuances. He had studied many of the creatures that walked upon the earth's surface and traversed its waters. He became familiar with various kinds of trees along with most forms of vegetation, and committed much of his observations to personal investigation of an alchemical nature. He was also well versed in the art of agriculture and weather detection. While the earth was impressive enough, he also attained exceptional knowledge of the stars and sampled fallen meteors when the opportunity came about. He was all in all a well-rounded man of many skills and of great knowledge.
Whenever the King of Kyros was not acting as a liberator or answering a call to war with some impetuous monarch, he was an architect at heart who loved the earth and all that it produced. So much so that he sought out lands where the ground was rich in fertile soil to see what it was capable of producing and how he could mold it. He tested the wealth of the ground by building cities from the natural resources provided by the earth that thrived in perfect synchronization with it.
At one point Michamsai set out from his kingdom by sea, and traveled southeast to the eastern shore of the great continent of Sortakoa – a land divided by fairly warm and harsh cold terrain. The eastern side encompassed low grounds, made up of mostly vast green and dry fields, hills, and valleys called the Lowlands. Conversely, the western portion harbored cold rocky high grounds, deep gorges and snowy mountainous regions for miles and miles called the Boldlands. The Bold Mountains made for an outstanding wall that separated the Lowlands and the Boldlands quite securely.
