A Blind Winter pt2

He looked like a frightened animal, crouched in the furthest corner of his cell. Of course Bucky didn't really need to see to know where he was in the cell he had memorized but the fact that he was now forced to rely on his other senses made him feel trapped.

Bucky's POV
As the reality slowly set in that I was never going to see again, I began to relax. At least this way hydra couldn't use me, I don't what i do after the words are said but I know it's horrible.

Time skip, it's been a few months and Bucky's come to terms with it. Hydra has been training him to fight without his eyesight but he's still jumpy

*clack clack*
Foot step someone's coming to my cell. I scrambled to my feet and into a defensive stance, "at ease Soldat" its my commander "I SAID AT EASE" Though I really didn't want to relax from the safety of my position I didn't really have a choice, i was going to get punished if I didn't. I relaxed. "Good now stick out your hand" I did as I was told blindly extending my hand in the direction I heard his voice. Something cold and metal was placed into my hand, "put them on you face like glasses" Glasses? Oh the weird things some of the doctors wear, I rotated the thing in my hand and felt two long stick like things that bent down at the end and connected to a wide, thicker piece of metal. Placing them on, I had no clue what would happen. These are obviously meant for someone who could see, so why would they give them to me. 

I put them on and they started buzzing. After a minute the world around me began to lighten until I could see the details of my surroundings. I blinked, or tried to the skin around my eyes was completely burned, but the machine whrrrrred and blinked with me. "Like we said before this both a punishment for you recent failures, and a new weapon to aid your success" I blinked again and looked around, the doctor continued "we will train you both with and without the glasses, you will not fail again." it wasn't a command it was a promise, if I fail again I die. "I will not fail sir" the doctor nodded curtly and left.
