Summer Allen was known because of many things in the small town of Maine. Some people know her as the girl who would help the postman on every Sunday by delivering letters while riding her red rusty bicycle, some may say it's because of her golden blonde hair that seemed glow in the sparkling sunlight of Derry, or it might be because of her junkie mother who is fooling around with a string of bagman of a boy toys who are half of her age but beside all of that she is mostly known for dating the Derry's local bully Henry Bowers.

How Summer Allen started dating Henry Bowers just after the winter break in 1988 is still a mystery to everyone in Derry Highschool. But despite all of this there is not much around the small town that could be known because of Summer Allen, except the small candy shop named 'Candy Floss'. The shop is the only thing she has left from the deceased father, Jimmy Allen, people know that Jimmy Allen died three years ago by having a cardiac attack after slipping from their house stairs and that left Summer with a drug addicted mother and a neck deep in debt as an aftereffect of her addiction to take care of.

This is all how Summer could imagine her life always have been. But like a butterfly's wings flapped in 1988's October when George Denbrough went missing everything in her dysfunctionally normal life was windswept by a ferocious hurricane with children going missing, a shape-shifting clown on the loose, new friendships brewing and middle of midst the chaos were two hearts beating each to each.
