Rampaged, Chapter 4.
I walked Jasmine home after school like I always do, or I walked and she leaned into my chest with her arms around me and I walked with my arm around her, if it was cold she would wear my jacket and I wouldn't have it differently.
"Love is a powerful word,
Just like hate,
And if I tried,
I couldn't change a thing,
I hug you close,
Just just to feel your heart beat,
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
I know,
I'm gullible,
But only to you,
I would buy you the whole wide world.
Because all I need is you." I sing softly in her ear, this is something I didn't usally do, well two things actually.
1) I don't sing love songs.
2) I have only sung in front of crowds.
She sinks into my chest, I smile knowing I might have just made her day.
"Ditto." She replies looking up at me, I smile she goes on her tip toes I lean down and kiss her, we withdraw after about five seconds looking pleased with ourselves, we continue to walk to Jasmine's house.
"I better call my dad to say I'm studying." I smile I knew that she knew that I wasn't preforming.
"Ha we will have to my parents are back from holiday." She laughs.
"You never actually told me where they were or what they do." I chuckle.
"There real estate, there big enough to be know but not like celebs, and there trip home keep being distracted because of others." She explains while I nod, thinking great I have to meet the parents.
"Are they strict?" I ask, just hoping for the best.
"Medium, they know to make sure where I know the line is." She shrugs.
"Perfect." I said smiling sounded like my parents.
We finally reach Jasmine's house and I see a black Volvo S40 parked.
"That's new." I say randomly.
"Duh my parents are home." She laughs.
"Right-o lets go." I say nervously.
I open the door now holding Jasmine's hand.
"Mum, dad! I'm home!" She yells. "And I brought someone over!" Well least she didn't say friend, cause I would have been hurt.
"In here!" A female voice shouts back. We walk into the kitchen, I've been here before when Jasmine asks me to make a peanut butter and jam sandwich, but to Americans that's peanut butter and jelly. A women by my guess mid thirties, greying brunette hair and brown eyes but for all I know Jasmine and her could be sisters.
"Mum this is Nathan." She introduced me.
"Pleasure to meet you Mrs. O'Connor." I say putting my hand out, she maneuvers around it and gives me a hug. This isn't like my parents, she moves back and says.
"Call me Jackie." She smiles a warm smile.
"So your the person treating my daughter right?" A male voice says behind me, oh no the father talk is coming soon, I can't wait... VOICE wake up! Yeah, yeah so what your going to get the father talk soon this might be fun. That's better, Jasmine twirls around to give her dad a hug but ends up almost falling over, naturally I grab her to keep her steady.
