The next morning...

Jaemin woke up to the sound of his alarm clock blaring. When he looked over to check the time, he saw that it was thirty minutes past the time he should be getting up for school. He sighed, turned off the alarm clock, and rolled over, deciding to sleep in and go to school late.

Fifteen  minutes later, Jaemin hears a knock on his door. The door opens and Jisung sticks his head to ask if Jaemin is ready to go to school.

"Hyung, you're coming with us right? School starts in thirty minutes. We have to hurry or we will be late."

"You and Renjun go without me," Jaemin groans, burying his head under the covers trying to block the light coming from the crack in the door. "I'm just gonna sleep a little longer and go to school late."

With his head still buried under the covers, Jaemin didn't notice that Renjun was also standing at the entrance to his bedroom looking at his friend with sad eyes. He had known something was wrong when Jaemin had texted him yesterday.

Jaemin only becomes unsocial and goes to bed early when something happens. He had also seen the torn-up note that was thrown in the trashcan. Not wanting to intrude on Jaemin's privacy, Renjun had not tried to read it, but he knew that that could definitely be part of why Jaemin was depressed like he is now.

Jaemin closed his eyes and tried to fall back asleep, hearing Renjun say in the background, "come on Jisung, let's get to school. Jaemin can meet us there later."

As he heard the door close, he also heard the youngest arguing and asking what was wring with him. Jaemin sighed and shook his head, he didn't want to think about what he saw last night yet. He just couldn't deal with it yet.

After a few hours of lying in bed, Jaemin woke up to the sound of clattering in the kitchen. Panicking, Jaemin jumps out of bed and grabs his math textbook, holding it in a ready to swing position as he silently made his way to the kitchen.

Just as he was about to round the corner, someone bumped into him. Jaemin shrieked in surprise and swung the textbook blindly at the person who had just crashed into him. Luckily, the person had quick reflexes and was able to duck out of the way and grab the textbook from Jaemin before any serious damage could be done.

Jaemin felt the textbook ripped from his hands. Becoming scared, he closed his eyes and crouched down, covering his head, waiting for the attack.

After a few seconds, no attack came, instead, high pitched laughter could be heard. Laughter that definitely sounded familiar.

Jaemin raised his head and lowered his arms, finding the courage to face the "intruder." Once his eyes met the face of the unknown person, Jaemin relaxed and sunk to his butt.

"Oh my god, hyung, you scared the ever-loving pee out of me!" Jaemin exclaimed, trying to calm his rushing pulse.

"I'm sorry, I texted you to let you know that I was coming when I heard you weren't at school today. I even made a lot of noise in the kitchen so that I wouldn't surprise you," the person says.

"I had my phone powered off," Jaemin says. "Last night was a rough night and I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone."

"Ah, I see, well, I made breakfast and was just coming to wake you up so you could eat before it gets cold."

Thanks, hyung," Jaemin says with a smile.

After sitting at the kitchen table and eating finishing their breakfasts, the two boys stared at each other.

Jaemin was the first to break the silence, "so, hyung, what brings you here?"

"Well, I came to talk about the letter you were left last night."
