Chapter Four: Simply a Friend

Snufkin would walk alongside the golden blonde girl, wandering about the village, introducing her to passerby which were familiar to him. During this stroll, Jilliantry would go on to tell passionate, adventure filled stories of her time on the waters. They would then run into some friends of Snufkins. This would include Snork, Snork-Maiden, and Sniff. They all seemed slightly surprised yet friendly to her. While Sniff and Snork would babble questions to Jilly, Snork-Maiden and Snufkin would begin light conversation.

"Seems like your lady friend is quite a seasoned Traveller, much like you Snufkin.." Snork Maiden would chuckle, looking towards the male

"Oh I hardly consider myself on the level of Jilly Snork Maiden, she's travelled far and wide. She's so....Different." He would reply, glancing towards Jilly, admiring the girl.
"She travels with no destination. No responsibilities, nothing to keep her from returning home...She says 'the waters is my home'." He would sigh. He began to stare at the girl, but, soon locking eyes with Jilly; who would give a faint smile. His face grew hot and he would look away. Once again, he felt the familiar thump within his chest.

"Ah seems like someone has taken a liking to their new companion..." Snork Maiden would tease with a giggle. Snufkin's face would grow red as he became shy.

"Well, she is an awfully sweet lady....But she is simply a friend, Snork Maiden. Do not be mistaken." He would start.

"Of course, just a friend. Well, I shall leave you and your friend to continue on. I'm afraid Moomintroll is having a little party we must help put together. Hopefully you and Jillantry will be there. But for now, farewell Snufkin." Snork Maiden would respond, walking away. She would drag Snork and Sniff off as they walked in the direction of Moomintroll's home.
