Her again.
How was it that she was always where he would come? Not that he really cared, but it had got him to actually think about her this time.
There she was, asking Nurse Joy for a room, when she noticed him looking - although 'staring' was a more appropriate word - at her.
They had been bumping into each other quite frequently in Johto, so he guessed that she had got much more used-to to his anti-social attitude, though she didn't take very well to him forgetting her name.
She waved, to which, he turned away and ignored her. She pouted, and started walking away.
He always angered her like that, and was not really bothered about her either, so why did they ever talk in the first place?
Many had tried to talk to him, but after once or twice, gave up, but she was obviously different. The only people who had actually ever talked to him included his brother, and at best, his rivals. But she happened to be none.
"'Scuse me, would you like a seat?"
It was Nurse Joy. He frowned; it was nothing that important, but he felt interrupted. "No, thanks", came the reply, as he started walking to his room.
What was she to him? A friend? He didn't want to rely on that, but could not ignore the fact that he never really had friends, to judge.
On the way, he saw her again. She was surrounded by two-three of her friends, who were giving her presents.
So it was her birthday, huh?
"Aww, this Piplup keychain is so cute!"
What did she find enthusiastic in that thing? Again, they hardly had anything in common to even notice each other. It was like they were from two different worlds... But she, apparently, thought differently.
The purple-haired trainer moved on, changing his direction this time.
Question was, what did she see between them? Thinking of them together would be awkward - there was no doubt. Perhaps, this would... hurt her?
He lied down on the bed in his room and closed his eyes.

"Can't wait to see a gym battle!"
"You've never seen one?", asked the gym leader.
"No, and I want to know everything about them I can!"
"Well then, it's fine with me. What about you, Paul?"
"No prob. I really couldn't care less."
At that time, he just thought her to be some random, happy-go-lucky blunette, roaming around with the group for no reason at all. It had not been the first time she was abnormally excited for watching a Pokemon battle - the signs of a newbie.

"What's wrong?"
"'What's wrong?' Who are you?"
"'Scuse me, mister. We have met before! The name's Dawn!", she shouted, losing her temper.
"Over-reactive - the term was perfect to describe her", he thought to himself. Why, out of all people was he supposed to remember the name of some random, overexcited girl he barely knew??
"Don't remember", came the reply, as if nothing had happened, which really had her going.
That spiky-head got her, however, putting a stop to her... well, inhuman behaviour.
