Mayflies (sad)

She walked around the ponds and she saw the mayflies die. They only lived a day, they always tried to live their best life. Even if it killed them. They loved the light, but it hurt them. They loved the calming water, but it killed them. They still flew into the light, they still hovered and sometimes even dived into the water. What was their purpose in life, they must've wondered. But the day they were were born, they didn't know they'd die on the same day. She spotted eyes staring into the water, staring at the poor mayflies. They stared at each other before she fell in the pond. He helped out and she was drenched, love at first sight. Later on that same day, they finally started a relationship. They were happy, they went to the place they had first met. They fell in the pond and that was the last anyone saw them. It was for only a day, but sometimes the happiest day can be the most sad day too. Their love was happy and sad, it was only for a day. It was just like, the life of a Mayfly.
