Staring out the window is a common thing, you know? I mean, at my old city house I'd of course always dream about life outside it would be like, but I didn't truly know how bad it was. Until I ran away from home.
It wasn't a bad house, I just wanted away from it. I was an adopted child, and an elf at that. Like all kids in the city, however, humans were raising me. There was just one problem with that, a problem there was no fixing.
I was an elf.
Being a city elf was never good, especially when everybody makes fun of you for being one. Humans hated the elves in this messed up future. It was horrible. When I was little, I always wished my video game, "Dragon Age," would become real.
I never knew it would.
