After her mother comes back from the grave, Carter feels uneasy about being in mystic falls. So she calls up an old friend, and plans to stay with him for a little. But after meeting her friends brother things go downhill.
While being connected (literally) to her family, Carter has to save the world from an apocalypse. All the while catching feelings for the mysterious and sarcastic time traveler.
