The next morning, Five walks through the front door.

"Come on, Carter. Get up. Were going somewhere." Five states, while dragging me to the door. Without letting me say a word he blinks us to a lab, hospital thingy.

We wait in the waiting room until a doctor come up to us. "Uh, can I help you?" He asks us.

Turning around, Five holds up an eyeball. "I need to know who this belongs to."

"Where did you get that?" The doctor asks.

"What do you care?" Five counters quickly. I elbow him in the side, but speak up for him.

"We, uh, we found it... at a playground, actually. It, uh, must have just..." I clicked my tongue. "Popped out." I finish with a smile. "We wanna return it to its rightful owner."

The receptionist lady heard this and spoke. "Oh... what thoughtful young kids." She cooed.

"Yeah. Look up the name for us, will ya?" Five says, losing his patience.

"Uh, I'm sorry, but patient records are strictly confidential." The doctor tells us. "That means I can't tell you-" but he's cut off.

"Yeah, we know what it means." I sass him, getting annoyed.

The doctor ignores this though. "But I'll tell you what I can do. I will take this eye off your hands and return it to the owner. I'm sure he or she will be very grateful, so if I can just-" he goes to grab the eye, but Five holds it back.

"Yeah, you're not touching this eye." Five tells him.

"Now you listen here, young man-" The doctor starts, but is once again cut off by Five. He grabs the doctors coller and brings him in close.

"No! You listen to me, asshole. I've come along way for this, through shit your pea brain couldn't even comprehend, so just give us the information we need, and we'll be on our merry way. And if you call me 'young man' one more time, I'm gonna put your head though that damn wall." Five threatens.

"Oh, deer." The receptionist says. Going to pick up the phone.

"Call security." The doctor whispers.

Nodding she puts the phone to her ear. I walk up to her and lean on the desk, looking straight into her eyes. "Put the phone down, sweetheart." I compel her, and she puts the phone down. "Come on Five. We'll find another way." I tell him as we walk away.

Agreeing, Five says, "Yeah. Come on, let's go back to the academy."

"Five! Five!" I hear Vanya yell. "Oh, thank god." She breathes a sigh of relief when she spots Five, and walks into his room. "I was worried sick about you."

I was lying on my back on Fives bed, Five was standing by the window looking outside, and Klaus was in Fives closet.

"Sorry I left without saying goodbye." Five apologize.

"No, look, I'm the one who should be sorry. Yeah, I was dismissive, and... I, I guess I didn't know how to process what you were saying. And I still can't, to be honest." Vanya tells him.

Rolling my eyes I look up at the ceiling. "It's not even that hard to understand." I mutter under my breath, but they both still hear me. Five told me about the apocalypse when we got back from the lab thing.

"Maybe you were right to be dismissive. Maybe it wasn't real after all. It felt real. Well... like you said, the old man did say time travel could contaminate the mind." Five says, causing me to scoff.

"Then maybe I'm not the right person for you to be talking to. I mean, you've been spending some time with Carter, right?" She says pointing to me. "Or I used to see someone. A therapist. I could give you her information."

"Thanks, but... I think I'm just gonna get some rest. It's been a long time since I've had a good sleep." Five tells Vanya, pointing to the bed I'm lying on.

"Okay." Vanya sighs and nods, then walks away. Five walks after her to make sure she's gone.

Then Klaus falls out of the closet. "That's so... touching, all that stuff about family and dad and time. Wow!"

"Would you shut up? She'll hear you." Five hisses.

"I'm moist." Klaus whines.

Looking disgusted, Five ignores it and says, "I thought I told you to put on something professional."

"What? This is my nicest outfit." Klaus says, sounding kind of offended. Causing me to short.

Sighing, Five mumbles, "We'll raid the old man's closet." Then he walks out of the room with Klaus on his tail and me following behind.

"Whatever, as long as I get paid." Klaus tells him.

I gasp loudly. "You're getting paid? I'm stuck getting dragged along."

Ignoring me, Five answers Klaus. "When the job is done."

"Okay, but just so we're clear on the finer details, I just got to go into this place and pretend to be your dear old dad, correct?" Klaus questions. to which both me and Five nod. "What's our cover story?"

"What? What are you talking about?" Five asks.

"I mean, was I really young when I had you guys? Like, 16? Like, young and... terribly misguided? Your mother, that slut. Whoever she was, we met at..." Klaus say.

"The disco!" I add.

"Yes, the disco. Okay? Remember that. Oh, my god, The sex was amazing." Klaus say dramatically.

"What a disturbing glimpse into that thing you call a brain." Five says, causing me to chuckle.

"Dont make me put you in time-out." Klaus poorly threatens us, as we walk downstairs.
