It was the last day of summer and I
could not wish anymore that I didn't have to go back to Freedoms Academy Middle School. I'm in the eighth grade now and last year was a horrible year. I was bullied so badly that I wanted to die. I was so tired of everyone making fun of me and acting like it didn't hurt. Then about a month or two before school was over I met my best friend. She was there for me when I needed her and we had the best of times. She made me feel so much better about myself. She helped me with my insecurities and problems. She was the best!
Then one day in the middle of summer, we were at the pool just laying out in the sun. She decided to jump in the pool, so of course I wanted to go with her. We both jumped in and made a huge splash. When I got up for a breathe she wasn't there. I looked back under water and saw her there at the bottom of the pool. She was trying to kill herself! I rushed to the bottom to try to save her, but it was too late. By the time I got there she was gone. When I called for help no one responded until I said "Thanks a lot" in the middle of crying, "she's dead!" When I said that everyone looked..... That was one of the saddest days of my life!
When I was packing up the bags and things from the pool, I found a letter. It read:
Dear Kimberly,
"I'm so sorry. I had to just
go. I was not meant to be
in this world with you. I
hope you understand....
In our favorite spot is an
envelope. Look inside and
follow what it says. Don't tell anyone!!
With lots of love,
Callie.I still have that letter today! I remember thinking "This is the last thing I have of her".
