(btw this chapter is rushed because it's just so you get to know the characters don't worry)alice's black hair waved back and forth as she walked down the tenth-grade hallway. her footsteps echoed around the vacant wing. she transferred the stack of paper she was holding to between her upper arm and side as she opened the door to mrs. decks room.
"alice!" the woman had a cheerful smile that lit up the entire room.
the kids sitting at their desks all simultaneously looked up at the girl, some of them smiling or lightly nodding their heads.
"morning mrs. deck, i have some papers for you." alice smiled, walking over to the woman and holding out the papers.
she watched the lady thumb through the paper then gave her one last smile before she turned around and walked out the door.
"so was he in there?" ruby peeked around the corner and giggled.
"nah, your mom's gonna flip," alice laughed along with the blonde, "you gonna get so many brownie points!"
ruby reached out and grabbed a hold of alice's hand, "let's scram before someone sees us,"
the brunette pulled alice through the hallways. they were seniors in high school, and yet they were still doing the childish things they did when they were younger. the two had known each other ever since sixth grade. shortly after, some feelings were caught and here they were now.
even though alice couldn't see ruby's face, she had the girl's captivating smile locked in her brain. this was common for her, her only thoughts were ruby and ruby herself. there was something about her that pulled alice in.
"first stop, yearbook," the blonde smiled as she stopped in front of a small door.
not many kids got into yearbook, it was only a select few that had 'sucked up' to the club director. the two girls, in fact, were one of the select few and the personal favorites on none-other than mr. brice.
"ay yo, the gangs here," ruby exclaimed as she abruptly opened the classroom doing, pulling alice along with her.
the room was smaller than most people would think. it only held three desks, one of them being mr. brice's, and an older couch that was called the 'cuddle couch'. one of the girls in the room snickered to the other one, leaning over to each other to whisper in their ears. ruby and alice brushed this off.
