"Please! Plea- no no, don't do this! You have to help my dad, he's still in there, with my little sister! Please, just save them!"
All I could see was blood, so much blood, ears filled with screaming and crying.
"Dad, Ava, I'm so sorry i couldn't save you. I promise I'll take care of mom."
The exhausted faces of the guards, and tears streaming down the faces of the villagers who experienced the attack. The packed ships, full of people who just saw everyone they loved, die.
"Why did they do this? I hate them. I hate them so much. I will never forgive them."
They were pulling my mom's arms and pushing her body into the hoards of people heading out to reclaim land. They can't take her, she's the only person I have left. She can't leave, no, no no, come back!
"Come back!" Y/n yelped, as she jumped up from her sleep.
Her frantic eyes searched the room to try and recognize where she was, and soon realized she was in the stables that were cleared out by the guards to let the refugees have shelter.
Y/n quickly stood up, and looked around to see a frazzled Eren looking up at her, with a wide gaze and a worried expression. He quickly made his way towards her and put his small hand on her shoulder.
"Y/n? Are you alright? W-what's wrong, why are you yelling?" He whisper-shouted, in hopes to not wake the others sleeping.
"I-i'm sorry. Bad dream." She brushed it off, trying to sooth his nerves. It seemed to have worked, as his face morphed to one of sympathy and he pulled her into a hug.
"It's alright. It was of that day, right? I get those too, don't worry. You aren't alone here."
Y/n's heart calmed, and she slightly smiled.
"Thank you, Eren. I appreciate it, really."
She thought back to the time they met, where he was just as considerate as he's being now. It was a cold, dark night and Y/n went looking for somewhere to sleep. It was a week or two after the titan attack, and she had nowhere to sleep. Her mother was forced to leave the wall and try to reclaim the land, though she knew it was some stupid mission to get rid of the people. Her nerves were through the roof, and her mind was full of thought on whether her mom would make it back home to her, or not.
Y/n was just walking around the town, until it started pouring and she had to run inside the closest building to try and dry off. To her luck, she was met with the youthful faces of Eren Yeager, and Mikasa Ackerman. The two had helped her in, and let her warm up in the blanket that Eren lent her.
She was brought back from her short flashback, and hugged Eren even tighter. Slightly surprised, Eren just patted her head and awkwardly parted their bodies.
"Thank you, and Mikasa for being so nice to me. I don't deserve this kindness. I couldn't ever repay you for helping me out that night. Thank you, again."
"Hey, don't say stupid stuff like that! Of course you deserve this kindness. Stop talking like you're gonna d-die or something. You aren't! Not on my watch."
She chuckled, and looked up to him.
"Yeah, yeah. 'I'm like a sister to you.' or something like that. I get it." He yawned and walked back to his makeshift bed.
"Well, you should go back to sleep. In a few hours, it's the first day of training. You're also gonna meet my best friend! So just try to get a little bit more sleep."
"Okay, okay. I'll try." She fibbed.
"Night'."
"Good night."
