[144] TEST OF LOVE - JIKOOK [COMPLETED]

Finale

Jimin's dad and Jungkook's dad are friends. They want the two to get married. Jungkook's mom is against it. She wants her son to marry her friend's daughter, but she can't go against Mr Jeon.

Jungkook is a mama's boy. His dad has never really been in his life growing up, always after business deals. Jungkook grew up being quite close to his mom. 

Jungkook didn't want to marry Jimin either but he had no choice. His dad was adamant. 

Jungkook's mom tries to stop the wedding but fails so she decides to infiltrate Jungkook's mind against Jimin and make them divorce.

After the wedding , they all stayed together in Jungkook's parental house since his mom insisted 

Jungkook's mom started brainwashing Jungkook's mind that Jimin wasn't a good son in law, that he was rude to her, that he cooks horrible, that he doesn't know how to maintain a house well and that Jimin would be a terrible parent 

And so Jungkook became  rude to Jimin after hearing from his mom that Jimin was not doing expected husbandly duties and also about Jimin being rude to her. Jungkook felt that whatever Jimin was being in front of him was only an act, Jimin was always sweet and trying his best to make Jungkook happy but the taller only saw Jimin in the negative, he always ended up shouting and insulting Jimin,  making the smaller cry himself to sleep.

"Stop being a cry baby! Your crocodile tears are not going to make me change my mind. If my mom says to do something, you do it. Period!"

Jimin only had Jungkook in that house, ever since they were married, Jungkook was the one who was supposed to be there for him in this new house with new people and that one person also was against him. Jimin felt all alone. 

Jimin was home with the mom most of the time, while Jungkook and his dad was out working. The mom would often insult him and purposely cause harm to him, like leaving the cupboard door open for Jimin to run into, leaving hot plates in areas where Jimin is standing and then calling him clumsy and useless when he fell down after he slipped on water that she purposely spilt. All this to later complain to Jungkook that his husband was not good enough

But still Jimin never let Jungkook's words and actions or the mom's words that Jimin would never be accepted by her, get to him. He was still kind to everyone in the house. Jimin tried telling Jungkook the truth but the taller never bothered so Jimin kept everything to himself

And of course it wasn't a shocker that Jungkook came to like being taken care of, being loved by someone other than his mom. But his mind still weighed down heavily by his mom's words - because according to him,  his mom would never lie or do anything to cause harm to him. Jungkook always held that against Jimin, but Jimin's actions that Jungkook could see, always felt genuine

Now even if Jungkook was against the marriage, he loved kids. It was his dream to have lots of kids. Even if his mom tried her best to make Jungkook hate the boy, he ended up falling for his husband. 

The relationship between Jungkook and Jimin became better ever since they went on a honeymoon arranged by his dad. They talked  and spend time together and Jungkook liked the person Jimin was. 

And then one day Jimin gets pregnant.

Now throughout the pregnancy Jimin suffered. Jungkook's mom didn't want the baby. She had hoped to change Jungkook's mind about Jimin being sterile so they could divorce  but that failed. She would push Jimin around or ask Jimin to do something dangerous during his pregnancy and she hated that Jungkook started working from home and would make Jimin rest. Jungkook even started back answering to the mom, supporting his husband.

Jimin had a lot of complications during pregnancy, induced by the stress from his mother in law. 

But during the end of the pregnancy, Jimin and Jungkook had a huge fight when Jimin was asked to rest after some bleeding, by the doctor. The doctor asked what was the reason and Jimin told that he was climbing and cleaning the ceiling and had slipped and fallen. 

Jungkook was mad, he had told Jimin specifically to not do any house work and to rest. There was no need to clean the ceiling, even in  a normal situation. That's when Jimin’s hormones kick in and he tells Jungkook the whole truth about the emotional physical and mental abuse by Jungkook's mom and asking Jungkook to move from his parent's house. Jungkook was pissed off at Jimin for lying 

"My mom was right… she warned me that you would try to make me hate her… she told me that you would do anything to convince me to move from my parent's home… I can't believe this Jimin. I was starting to fall for you but bringing my mom and even endangering our child … wow!… unbelievable!" 

Jungkook started avoiding the smaller and  told him that once the baby is born, they would divorce and he would keep the baby. He strongly trusted his mom more than his husband.

One day, Jimin goes into preterm labor and is rushed into the operation theater. 

Jin, their family doctor, came out of the theater to ask Jungkook and his family to choose who to save - the husband or the baby

"What… why do I have to choose … what do you mean by that…. Jimin is fine right?" Jungkook stutters, his eyes wide 

"No.. that's why I'm asking you… you have to choose quickly…" Jin says 

"I can't…" Jungkook shakes his head 

"We don't have much time… unless you want them both to die…"

"Jimin!" Jungkook interrupts Jin "...Jimin! It's always gonna be him… Jimin..please save him!" Jungkook says just as his mom insists to just save the baby 

Jungkook's eyes widen as he hears his mom say that "..Mom! How dare you say that?! You are talking about Jimin as if he is a toy or something..  what's wrong with you! He is my husband!" Jungkook was angry

Just then Jin interrupts them "Even if you are going to divorce Jimin, you still want to save his life?"

"He is my husband. I love him!" Jungkook exclaims

 "Good then, that they are both fine …" Jin says 

Jungkook looks at Jin confused 

"The family never gets to choose who to save. It's the doctor who decides and it's a doctor's job to save the mother first, not the baby…" Jin smiles slightly "  ...I just wanted you to understand your heart"

Jungkook burst out crying - he would have divorced Jimin, thinking Jimin was lying about his mom. He had hurt Jimin a lot, his mom had too. If Jin hadn't brought forth the choice, he would have probably not known that he really cares for Jimin and wanted to be with Jimin

Jungkook walks into the ward and holds Jimin's hands softly, crying into it

"I'm sorry… I'm so sorry for not trusting you … please forgive me…. Give me a chance… please… I know I don't deserve it… please… I love you…" Jungkook was sobbing 

Jimin weakly smiles, nudging the taller to look at him

"I forgive you… I love you too"

Jungkook sobbed heavier hearing Jimin say those words. Just as he was about to kiss Jimin, the nurse brought in their baby 

"Hi precious …" Jungkook lets out a wet  chuckle, taking the baby and holds him close to Jimin. 

"Thank you for everything Jimin" Jungkook says kissing the baby before leaning down to kiss the smaller "I love you…"

"I love you too Jungkook"

A/N : Jungkook takes Jimin and the baby to a new apartment he bought for them and stopped talking to his mom
