At Central High School Brianna Jefferson was at lunch waiting for her best friend to arrive, he's running late today. He's probably still in Ms. Benson's room practicing or something she thought. She decided to eat without him as soon as she was preparing to take a bite from her sandwich Prince comes up behind her and gently shakes her by the shoulders. She drops her sandwich back into the container and glares at him as he takes a seat beside her.
"I know you weren't planning on eating without me." He smirked.
"Oh yes I was, you remember last time I waited on you and I only had 2 minutes to eat!"
He laughs and nods his head "Yeah, you were making noises every time your stomach growled in Ms. Bishop's class." He laughs harder "Bri you sounded like a volcano that was about to erupt." She tried to hold in her laughs but failed when she remembered how embarrassing that moment was but funny at the same time thanks to Prince. Every time she felt a growl she cleared her throat and Prince would make some noises or ask the teacher a random question.
"Yeah yeah whatever, so you been practicing like crazy I heard."
He clears his throat "Yeah, speaking of which are you going to prom tomorrow ?" She looks at him "I rather study for something mathematics-related than that."
"You and I both know you don't like any question that involves numerals."
Bri takes a bite into her sandwich and nods.
"But, would you go with your best friend?" Bri puts her sandwich back into the container and chews the rest of her sandwich slowly to stall.
"Bri, come on it's just for a day." He waits for a response, she sighs "You owe me, major time buddy, just a day right?" Prince smiles and side hugs her "Mhmm, well sorry I have to leave early I'm a little behind schedule." He hops up from the table and splits her sandwich and eats his half "Thanks mama," He winks at her and heads towards the exit.
Brianna shakes her head and sighs "It's only for a day," she mumbles to herself. But she didn't know that day would extend.
