Chapter 1: Oh No

"The fucking kids are at it again, Leidy... what the hell are you doing?! I have a job interview around 3 and most of my shoes are now a chew toy because of the cats and dogs!" Walking down the tiled stairs, a beautiful young adult with the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair stumbled before reaching Leidy.

Shrugging, "Kim mentioned something about the young ones wanting ice cream, couldn't care less to be perfectly honest Rose... they're my first suspects on my list" Leidy whispered

"What list?" Rose quickly faced Leidy before she could finally slip in her extra small heels, it wasn't hers actually... it was Jennie's, it was too small but she had to use them because most of her shoes are now demolished by cute beasts; she has no other way

"List on who may have stolen my French fries, the McDonalds around our block just closed yesterday so I'm pretty dejected" Leidy sat down on the sofa "The orphanage isn't doing well right now so I bought myself some French fries to lift my mood up but it may have just gotten worse and by the way,, my cats are innocent!"

"That's why I'm on my way to attend a job interview, if I get this job and that is a big if; I may be able to invest the money to afford better beds for the children and clothing probably toys as well" Rose smiled clenching tightly on her résumé

Leidy rests her palms on top of Rose as a way to calm her down or possibly in attempts to stop her from clenching on her résumé as it may rip apart

"Let's go, there'll be a huge crowd later on since the Prince of the kingdom of Jung will be passing by our city. If I read the newspaper correctly, they may be signing something in our kingdom... was it a peace-treaty?"

Rose straightened her résumé, "I think so too, yeah nice talk Adelia! I'll be going- oh! and by the way" Rose stopped mid-sentence checking if Leidy would respond to which she gave a slight nod. "Prevent yourself from using the machine guns in the basement, Aunt lyna might actually file a noise complaint across the orphanage. You might need those in the future you never know!" Rose hurriedly ran through the door, closing it behind her as she left

"I've resigned! you know fully well how I'm not going back to that business!" Leidy yelled wanting to be the one with the last say in their quick disagreement.

Meanwhile, not far from the orphanage....

"Your highness, we are almost near the Central Min Hall yet no signs of the 'Diamond', it is best we avoid proceeding onwards from here without extra security" a servant tried to catch up to the enormous prince who continued to walk around the area only having two guards by him

"I was informed they haven't mentioned anything to the 'Diamond' yet, I heard... you know words from the streets- they said that she's already retired and the Min Kingdom just lost a literal gem, well not a literal gem gem but like-" noticing how he got distracted, Prince Hoseok released a small cough to hide his embarrassment "I-If I had my arms around that gem, I wouldn't let it go"

"This gem we are talking about is actually a person, yes? not an object?... W-what I meant was just a reassurance or c-confirmation" the servant trembled after seeing eye to eye with the Prince

The Prince couldn't help but laugh out loud

"such gem doesn't deserve to be called a human after staining their hands with the blood of a thousand army, even I don't carry that much of deaths on my back" The Prince smirked walking further down the streets, leaving the servant in shock

Returning to the orphanage-

"I know it was you who ate my French fries! speak up you little dimwit!" Leidy pulled a young girl by her waist to stop her from running around the living room. "Aha! your fingers smell like the ketchup from McDonalds!"

Ah yes, this is the same person who has stained their hands for killing a thousand armies

"Adelia! Rose called and said that her interview was actually tomorrow and she doesn't have any money left to get a ride can you drive to her interview place?" Kim yelled from upstairs; her voice muffled from the younger children yelling about ice creams

Running quickly to get her keys and coat, Leidy immediately replied. "Of course! watch over the kids in the living room for me!" Leidy locked the door leaving the compound

Kim slowly peeked down the stairs to patrol over the children who were left in the living room but just when she finally was about to reach the last step-- the phone rang once again, sighing Kim carried her body back upstairs.

power walking towards the phone, Kim picked up the cellphone, "This is Kim Jisoo speaking-"

* Kim! I got the job! the interview was a success! *

after a minute of realization, Jisoo dropped the phone, she immediately ran down the stairs, opened the door and started looking for a specific person and unfortunately that one person wasn't there anymore

"oh no"

It appears that she has sent her sister to get kidnapped right outside of Rose's just then workplace
