The Invitations

It had been 4 years since Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio had last played on the same court. After graduation they promised to stay in touch with each other along with their past teammates. But as the months went on everyone got busy with their new lives as adults and before they could stop it the old karasuno group chat became bare of messages. Nobody had really noticed how much they all lost touch until the letters were sent out. Sugawara and Daichi were the first ones to receive the letter. "Daichi, it's from Kageyama," Suga called as he walked back into their house. He didn't wait for Daichi to answer and immediately opened it. As his eyes scanned the letter his face became drained of any emotion. "DAICHI GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE WE HAVE TO GET TO HINATA'S HOUSE NOW" Sugawara yelled as he ran outside to the car. Daichi glided down the stairs and grabbed the letter following behind Suga as he read it. "You don't think he actually sent this to Hinata do you?" Daichi asked. "I dont fucking know daichi but all I know is that hinata cant open it by himself" Suga replied as he slammed down on the gas. Meanwhile Hinata had just come back from his morning run. He skipped over to the mailbox and began to jump as he read the name at the top of the letter. Hinata ran into the house to open it excited to receive a letter from his old teammate and favorite setter. Suga turned the corner and Hinata's house came into view. He once again slammed on the gas causing Daichi to go flying forward. Once he had pulled into the driveway he threw the keys at daichi and ran inside. "HINATA ITS SUGAWARA ARE YOU HERE" he heard a slight whimper coming from the kitchen and walked in slowly. He saw the letter on the table crumble and wet from tears. He then looked down and saw Hinata lying on the floor . "I-I- He never told me about this, I thought we told each other everything" Hinata mumbled. Suga dropped to the ground beside him "He didn't tell anyone Shoyo we were all in the dark" Suga said. He felt bad for hinata and was furious at kageyama 'why couldn't he have told hinata in person he was so fucking dense he never realized that shoyo had feelings for him'. Hinata slowly got up and grabbed the letter he began to read it out loud "You are formally invited to the celebration of marriage between Tobio Kageyama and Hajime Iwaizumi please rsvp to Mr. Tobio at xxx-xxx-xxxx" "And it says I can bring a plus one as if i have anyone to bring haha" Hinata weakly said. Sugawara got up and walked over to hinata he engulfed him into a hug and firmly said "We don't have to go we can skip it" Hinata shaked his head "I want to go even if he may not be in love with me like i am with him I still want to go and support him just like I always have and always will."
