Chapter - Three

"Takumi?" I respond, and I don't even realize that Haji left my side while I grabbed my key card for the front door and scanned it when I heard the door unlocked.

"I'm surprised you're not crying," I heard his light chuckle over the phone, although he was right, but it's not funny all the time.

The door opened and I walked into the room while I continued speaking with Takumi over the phone. I sighed as I closed the door behind me.

The door was shut, so I leaned against it and asked, "Do you need anything?" I could use a cigarette by now, but I didn't have one on me while I waited for his answer.

Then he asked me, "Where are you right now?"

I gulped and felt my heart sink into my stomach. I flutter my eyes as I respond, "I'm in my hotel room."

He replied, "Right? You just got back from your trip," as I nodded and replied, "Yeah, I did, and why do you ask?"

"Because I want to see you," he said, my eyes widening a bit. "For dinner, right?" I asked him, stepping away from the door and approaching my closet.

When I opened my closet door, He replied, "Yeah, we can go to dinner." As I nodded, I opened it and chose my outfit for tonight. "Yeah, can you meet me outback... you know?".

I sighed as he answered, "Right; the paparazzi and fans are gathered outside your hotel, but yeah, I'll meet you there." I was hesitant to say bye; he abruptly hung up on me.

As I admired myself in the mirror once more, I realized that I look great in the outfit that I chose, which consists of a gray tank top, an oversized burgundy cardigan, and skinny black jeans, along with black chunky heel booties.

Then I grabbed my key card from the drawer and my phone along with my black sunglasses. As I unfold the sunglasses and put them on my face, I move pieces of my blonde hair to the side.

Besides getting nervous about seeing him, another part of me felt happy to see him.

Then I took a deep breath and started walking over to my hotel's front door. I grabbed the handle and began opening it before I could open it further.

In a sudden stop, I looked up and slightly widened my eyes as I leant my head to one side. "What are you doing here?" I asked him as I looked at him intently.

I couldn't help but imagine fancy sushi in the box, as Haji looked at me with a brown take-out container in hand.

I looked at him for a moment as he handed me a container with the words, "Here," and then grabbed the container and opened it; "Is its fancy sushi?" I thought to myself.

As Haji pulled out a box of cigarettes from a drawer, he opened it and grabbed one between his lips as he said, "Oh before you complain about the sushi, it's cheap sushi I bought for you."

"You are a cheapskate, I swear," I complained as I looked at him in disappointment.

"Well, I'm on a budget because my annoying non-biological children used my credit card on our trip to Europe," He explained to me as he put the box of cigarettes in his pocket. He grabbed a lighter from another bag.

While he lights the cigarette with his lighter and peers over the elevator, I question him: "Our annoying non-biological children?"

The elevator door opened as I looked over at it while we saw Isao and Yori in here while Isao waved at us as he stepped out of the small room and Yori followed him behind.

The smoke from his cigarette has a white color to it. "Those annoying children of ours," He emphasized as he inhaled and exhaled.

Isao and Yori walk over to us as they look and stop beside us, while Iaso raises his eyebrow.

"Are you guys going on a date or what?" Isao asked me as Haji lifted his eyebrows at me as well.

Sighing, I handed Yori the sushi and explained, "Here; you both can have the sushi that Haji got."

Haji asked, "Yeah, where are you going, Hana?" As I left my room, Yori grabbed the container for me.

I replied, "I'm going out with a friend, away from you three," as I walked to the elevator and pushed the button.

I open the metal door of the back of the hotel and look both ways before I step out.

While I walked towards the black Jeep across from the hotel, I glanced both ways to make sure there were no paparazzi. I saw the groupie standing around the hotel entrance.

I heard the car door open as footsteps came towards me; I then felt a cold touch around my wrist as I stared ahead. "Jeez, what the hell took you so long, Blondie?" Takumi asked me.

Before I could say anything to him, I sighed, he pulled me to the passenger side of his car and opened the door while I felt eyes staring down at us, not from the groupie, but someone else, as I tried to avoid it and got into the car.

As Takumi walked up to the front seat, he closed the passenger door, then opened the driver side door, feeling the same vibe as he sighed and closed the door.

"Don't look now but your husband is watching us." Takumi responded as I fastened my seatbelt and gazed at him; "Huh?" I asked myself, "H-haji?"

"Haji's not my husband, Takumi," I told him as Takumi turned on his car.

He replied, "Are you sure about that? The newspaper reported that you two are a happy couple," I thought that he'd been reading the article about me and Haji. Could I say that he was jealous?

Haji and I spend more time together; I don't view Haji that way, and Haji doesn't view me that way either...Or does he?
