No ones POV.
Within a small village, on the Portuguese and Spanish border, stood a small, one roomed household. Surrounded by acres of land, packed with fruit and vegetables plants. Mostly bring the red, shiny tomatoes.
The house was rundown, sticks, stones and clay formed the walls whilst hay formed a sturdy roof above the Iberian family, there was no glass in the window space, and the filthy dirt floor was covered by a carpet-like blanket. However the room was simple, a small, round, wooden table, a stone fire pit for warmth and cooking. Baskets filled to the brim with fruit and vegetables, and two straw-like beds, one for Iberia, And a larger bed for the two brothers to share.Inside said household, it was like any other day. Antonio, a cheerful, clueless, young Spanish boy, with no ability on how to 'read the atmosphere' was clinging to his mother's leg, whilst repeating the same question. "When's dinner ready?"
Iberia, the woman who Antonio was clinging to. Was happily preparing food over an open fire whilst assuring Antonio the food would be done in no time. She was a sweet woman, she always had a smile on her face.
And João. Sitting on the windowsill. Several years older than Antonio. At the age where he is aware how annoying childish acts can be. He's often described as a low self-esteemed boy, with the ability to be cheerful and friendly. But he often has a small frown on his face.
Antonio's POV.
"Mamá, mamá! Is it almost ready yet!? Mamá I'm hungry, please say it's ready by now!" I cried, still clinging to the bottom of Iberia's dress. Iberia let out a soft sigh, picking Me up and sitting me on a log.
"Si Antonio. Your meal is ready. João! Come sit with your brother, si?" She placed a small plate of fresh baked bread and a salad on the table. "João! Today would be nice!"
"Sim, Sim Mãe!" João yelled in a rather annoyed tone as he placed his work down and sat at the table. João is my big brother. People say we're similar. But in reality, he has longer hair, darker eyes and a small black mark by his eye, he says it makes him 'the better brother'. He's so Silly sometimes. He also does school work, joão believes he's going to be an inventor, but I don't need that stupid school, because I'm going to be a bull fighter!
Iberia sighed. "João, look after you're brother for me, I need to see to the farm" and before anyone could say anything. Mamá had already walked through the door.A few minutes later, we both finished our dinner and João had cleaned the plates, going back to his homework. How boring of him. "Hola Joã-" I was silenced by him. He looked stressed. I didn't want to be annoying, So I hopped off my chair and made my way to the door, going to see what mamá was doing.
Joãos POV.
It's always annoyed me about how poor we are, Mãe works all day and cares for us at night, Antonio dosent deserve to live in poverty either. As long as I can keep focused on my school work, I could possibly help them in the future..
I soon fell asleep, forgetting that Antonio was under my supervision.
