♡ Sleepy Cuddles ♡

Even though Corpse was tired as hell, he didn't go to sleep even after he ended his stream! Instead he silently scrolled down through his twitter feed and liked some of the crazy tweets appearing in his mentions. 

He only stopped when Sykkuno's door made that screeching sound they didn't know how to fix. Corpse put his phone in his pocket and immediately jumped out of the bed.

They met at the hallway, both smiling at each other awkwardly.

"Oh, did you wanna go to the bathroom?", Sykkuno asked, stepping out of the way of the bathroom door. "I can wait a bit, so you can go back to sleep."

Corpse realised that his hair must've been messier than usual and that he also hadn't switched from his pyjamas all day long. Sykkuno genuinely believed he had slept. "Uhhh."

"Or I can go first, whatever you want.", Sykkuno continued rambling, being his typical self except thsi time, his eyes showed signs of worry. 

They maybe had only lived together for a week or so but Sykkuno seemed to always know how Corpse was feeling. Or at least guess an emotion that was pretty similar to how he felt, every time. "Corpse?"

"Uh, yeah.", Corpse said. "Go ahead. I was just going to...get some water."

"Okay.", Sykkuno answered before disappearing into the bathroom. Corpse didn't move, he just stood there and waited.

Corpse didn't have a reason, exactly. He just needed to be around someone, around Sykkuno. He needed that because he was tired as HELLl and kind of sad aswell but he didn't know how to bring it up. He just hoped Sykkuno would just understand, again.

He noticed his hands were shaking and his body was quivering slightly. Sykkuno flushed the toilet and for a few seconds, there was only the sound of water as he probably washed his hands. When Sykkuno stepped out of the door, he didn't look surprised.

"You are still there.", he simply said.

Corpse cleared his throat and just looked away. "Yeah...I am."

"Do you want to, uhhh, talk?" It was a valid offer. However, talking sounded difficult so Corpse just shook his head. Sykkuno continued, "Or watch a movie? We could do that! Or I could open up Minecraft again if you want to."

In just a week, he had watched someone play Minecraft more than ever before. Sitting quietly next to Sykkuno, their shoulders touching. It was comforting, it was fun. But Sykkuno had closed his stream probably for a reason.

"Movie sounds good.", he answered and let Sykkuno guide him to the brand new couch they had in their relatively small living space.

He sat down like a robot.

"Have you slept at all?", Sykkuno conversated silently while setting up his Netflix. Corpse shook his head, pulled his legs onto his chest and wrapped his shaking arms around them.

"No.",, he said out loud when he realised Sykkuno hadn't seen. "Or maybe three hours after yesterday's stream."

Sykkuno hummed and then settled on the couch next to him. There was a small space between them but the couch wasn't big and they weren't big on personal space anyway.

Corpse bumped Sykkuno with his knee. "Thanks.", he muttered quietly.

Sykkuno smiled and Corpse smiled back.

"What do you want to watch?", Sykkuno asked, scrolling through the catalog.

"Just, uh, choose whatever?", Corpse said silently and Sykkuno did just that, giggling as he put on a Barbie movie.

Corpse rolled his eyes fondly.

They watched the movie in silence, for a while. Corpse didn't actually pay attention, instead focusing on how Sykkuno reacted to the stupid scenes with quiet "oh 's" and smiles and laughter. It was cute.

"Ooh, a cat! You like cats, uh?", Sykkuno commented and Corpse spared a look at the screen. There was a white cat with long fur. "What was the name of the cat you keep talking about? Bingbong?"

"Bingus.", Corpse said with a laugh.

"Right, right, I knew that! I was just, uh, joking.", Sykkuno said. "Yep. Joking."

Corpse broke into helpless laughter and Sykkuno flashed him a proud smile. Corpse just felt so safe around Sykkuno, he didn't have to hide anything from him.

"Do you, uh, wanna talk about it?", Sykkuno asked after a second of silence. Corpse hummed.

"About Bingus?", he joked and Sykkuno slapped him lightly with the back of his hand but also laughed so they were all good.

"About not getting any sleep.", Sykkuno answered seriously, turning his whole body towards Corpse.

"I don't know.", Corpse said and ironically, yawned. "It just so happens sometimes."

"I know.", Sykkuno said. Corpse knew he did. He sighed.

"Cuddle me, Sykkuno."

Sykkuno made a noise. "Cuddle?"

"Yeah.", Corpse responded. "I want you to hold me. Only if you're comfortable with it, though."

"I'm comfortable.", Sykkuno said right away, reaching towards Corpse with his hand and then dropping it. "I just, don't know how—?"

Corpse smiled. "Just, lay back?"

Sykkuno looked kind of awkward as he stumbled to lean on the armrest, his arms on his sides. Corpse spared him from the embarrassment and stumbled towards him, laying his head on Sykkuno's shoulder. Their legs tangled together.

"Hug me.", Corpse whispered raspily and Sykkuno did as asked. There were hands around Corpse, holding him gently on his spot while Corpse laid his hands on Sykkuno's body, drawing circles on his shoulders. The movie was still playing in the background but neither of them payed attention to it. Corpse was too busy trying to calm his pounding heart, anyway.

"This feels nice." Sykkuno's voice was quiet and cracked at the end, coming right next to Corpse's ear. Corpse hummed approvingly.

"It is.", he agreed.

"You talking feels funny.", Sykkuno commented offhandedly. Corpse let out a laugh and Sykkuno squirmed. "Oh that's even worse! Just, stay still."

Corpse laughed even louder, which made Sykkuno laugh too.

"Sorry.", Corpse said, letting the giggles die down to a comfortable silence between them.

Sykkuno's other hand was petting Corpse's hair. It felt soft.

"I said it already, but, uh—" Corpse paused to clear his throat, "— thank you. I don't know, tonight has just been bad. You're helping."

"I'm glad.", Sykkuno whispered. "I'm really glad we live together, Corpse."

Corpse smiled, even though Sykkuno couldn't see it.

He closed his eyes, getting more comfortable than before. To Sykkuno, he quietly admitted, "I might fall asleep."

"I'm not stopping you.", Sykkuno answered, still petting Corpse's curls. "I'm right here."

Within seconds, Corpse let himself fall into dreamless sleep and the last thing he remembered was a sweet kiss on his forehead.
