It was the first day of Year 3. Lily was tumbling down the stairs to meet her mother. Well foster mother. Lily never knew her real mum. All she knew was that she was found on the side of a road at the age of 3. Ever since then, she been in and out of foster homes.
"Good morning Honey." Her mother called as Lily sat at the table.
Jane Peterson was her foster mum at the moment. She had long dark brown hair, hazel eyes and a tall slim figure. Lily had been with them for 7 months now.
"Morning Jane! What's for breakfast?"Lily asks looking up her foster mum.
"We've been with you for over 6 months now. You can start call us mum and dad if you want." Jane said smiling at lily
"Okay....mum." Smiling towards her mother.
"And i've made you some jam on toast for breakfast. Excited for your first day of Year 3!" Jane says putting the toast in front of Lily.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! I am soooo excited!! It's going to be soo fun!! I can't wait to see all my friend again!" Lily screams.
Just then her dad, Dave Peterson, walks in already in a suit and tie ready for work. Dave had mouse brown hair and was quite plump along with green eyes.
This was all very opposite to Lily. She had bright blonde hair, blue eyes and was small for her age. Many people at school also thought she was a bit weird as she was quite smart and talked a lot about random information.
"Hahaha. I see someone's excited for there first day of Year 3!" Dave called walking out from hallway
"Yh dad!"
"Hmm dad. That's new! I like it. I was wondering when you would start calling us that." Dave states. ruffling Lilly's hair.
Lily finished her toast and ran upstairs to gab her school bag, pencil case, water bottle and other necessities she needed. She ran down the stairs nearly falling as she did so.
"Careful honey!" Her mother called, "We don't want any broken bones!"
"Sorry!"
Once they were in the car and strapped in, they made their way to school. Dave left for work 15 minutes for Lily and Jane leave. Dave works at a big company in the city. Jane works at a hair salon. It's about a 15 minute drive to school from Jane and Dave's house, which Lily like as she hates car rides. Finally at school, she jumps out of the car saying bye to her mum and she runs off. Her mother laughs and smiles as she drives off to work. Lily meet up with her friends straight away and all start sharing their holidays with each other. Lily is friends with two girls called Amy and Bella and a boy called Oliver. They were just about to start playing tag when their teacher Ms Grey called them.
"Year 3. Line up in front of me!" The teacher shouted.
Lily stated to get nervous. Most of her teacher had been really sweet and kind and never shouted like that. Maybe she was just getting our attention in the noisy playground. Hopefully she wasn't like this all the time. Wrong!
"Line up at the back of the classroom whilst I tell you your seating plan. OK!" Ms Grey bellowed to the class
Lily was scared. She never had a teacher like this before. Lily rarely ever gets scared. Everyone was scared. They all coward to the back of the classroom careful not the breath!
"Right. Lily Peterson! In front of my Desk please. Charles Rose next to Lily!" Ms Grey shouted. Charles started to move but Lily was stuck. Her legs wouldn't move. All of a sudden, everything was floating! Lily was petrified!
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!" Ms Grey screeched!
"What's h-h-happening!"Lily squeaked!

"I don't know sweetheart. Hopefully darling. Hopefully" The father replied
"Me too. I miss her." The young 9 year old states
"I know sweetheart. I know"
