Daroach x Reader - Betrayal.

Part One - Meeting

Never before have you felt this way. As you fall to your doom, all of your memories with him flashed before your eyes. He was your last dying thoughts. You see his angered face as you get further, and further away... Oh, if only you didn't have to do this to him, maybe things would be different; You could probably be living a happy life with him...


You were never all to skilled in being a thief, or sneaking. But you tried, because of one person you looked up to... 'Daroach.' He was so clever, and sly... You wanted to be just like him in every way. But sadly, no matter how hard you tried, he would never notice you. he was usually too busy stealing from people and being one of the best pirates on Popstar, along with the rest of his gang, The Sqeaks. 

He hardly ever stopped by in Dreamland, which is where you lived most of the time if you weren't busy running away from angry merchants, or people trying to arrest you. But today...today was different. "come one, come all, to see one of the many powerful items on Popstar!!" You heard a voice come from the plaza of your little town. Strange to hear that one of the most "powerful" items somehow made it into your little town...Maybe this could be a good time to sharpen up your skills in stealth...

You begin to sneak towards where the voice was coming from, when you see Daroach. Your heart begins to race as you realize that HE was in YOUR TOWN. You begin to stumble over things, trying to get away, when he noticed and called you over. "Ah! Who do we have here?" he said while bringing you near him. "And MY MY... You look lovely!" he said as he grabbed your hand. This made your face go red, as you've both never been this close to him, nor (obviously) never been complimented by HIM of all people-. "I'm sure someone like you wouldn't mind demonstrating for me and my gang?" he said gesturing to his gang of Squeaks. Before even thinking, you answered positively. "uM- s-s-sure??" You begin to shake nervously, realizing what you got yourself into. You...REALLY got yourself into something more serious than you think though...

He grabbed your arm to pull you a little closer, and began to put a golden ring on your head. "Now, think of anything that makes you feel any emo-" But before he could finish, multiple tiny lazers came out from the ring, and people began to run around in a panic. "Ohohohoo!! I wasn't aware of what this thing could really do until now!" He said while standing behind a big box. "I'm glad I picked it up." You took the ring off of your head and began to examine it, not really hearing Daroach sneak up behind you. "This thing looks to be made out of pure gold." You whisper to yourself. "The price for this thing must be through the roof then." Daroach said over your shoulder. You quickly moved back, being startled by him. He took notice of your reaction and stepped back a bit. He respects boundaries of course.

He took the ring from your hands and began to put it back in the giant chest he had near him. You couldn't take your eyes off of him. Everything about him was nearly perfect...And those eyes- They were the kind of yellow you couldn't stop looking at. And his eyes were really complimented by the red he was wearing, same as the bell he had on. Oh the slight jingling sound was almost like music to your ears. Daroach began saying something, but you were to busy zoning out to understand him. He waved his hand in front of your face, trying to get your attention. You quickly snap back to reality, realizing how close he was to your face. You start to feel your face heat up as he stared into your eyes.

You start moving back when you begin to lose your balance, and fall. but before you could hit the ground, Daroach catches you by your hand. "Heheheeyy, watch your step, or you just might fall for me!~" Daroach said with a wink. You could feel your face heat up right after he said that, and by golly, you've never blushed so much in one day. He pulls you back up and you land on him.  You quickly push him away, with your face more red than his coat. 

"U-um...Do you.. Need anymore h-help with showing off items?" You ask with a very shaky voice, still embarrassed from what happened a few seconds ago. Daroach looked at you for a second, thinking to himself, when he began. "Nah, I got everything I needed from you....Well...Almost  everything I needed from you." Daroach said, while looking at you with a smug look on his face. "E-eh??" You said, confused. What did he mean Almost everything?? Before you could say something, Daroach started speaking. "I mean you, dimwit. Do you wanna join my gang?" He said with a slight chuckle, before walking up to you and holding out his hand. "Well?" He said, still holding his hand out. You look at his hand for a second, feeling your heart race. 'Should I really do this?' You ask yourself...Maybe. He's not joking...right?
