Gosh. It's so hard to master proper typing.

Anyway, how have you been Ma? School just ended and it's Christmas break. My friends all had plans. Pretty fun plans, for them at least. I don't find it very relaxing or fun going out with them. I will only be spending money that I want to save for something more fun (for me).

This final grading, I got the first place Ma. Not that it's a big deal or something but I still want to tell you nonetheless, especially because I actually exerted some effort in securing it. It doesn't really matter to me if I be the first or the last one in school. I don't care about ranks. They don't matter. But I want to make you and Dad happy. Even I, still a child, know how proud parents can be when their children get the best out of things among other children. That's why I actually aimed for the top this time. It just makes me happy when I see you two smile. Those smiles make everything worth it.

And oh, I actually made friends in school. Can you believe that Ma? Though I made only two friends. They are fun to be with especially since they share my hobbies. We always eat together during recess and lunch breaks and when there's still some spare time left, we play games. Same as I, they love playing mobile games. Not really surprising since it's the trend these days. Though I kinda want to know more about those games that Dad told me he played when he was a kid. Ma, you gotta help me bug Dad about that. Tell him to show me how those things were played out. Those games seemed more fun than the games we play in our phones.

I actually wanted to go with my friend's house and have a sleepover but somehow Dad was quite reluctant to let me, so I didn't pursue the topic further. I don't want Dad to be upset.

Umm... this is quite embarrassing but I don't know who else I should share this with. Someone sent me a love letter a week before classes ended Ma. Whoever sends love letters these days? It was quite corny and I didn't even try to read it. Somehow, the letter found its way to the garbage bag. It didn't need me to show the way.

A day before the Christmas break, the guy who sent the letter came to me. Yep, I knew he was the one who sent the letter because he didn't even try to hide that fact. He wrote his name at the back of the letter. Anyway, the guy came to me and asked me out. He wanted to go on a date with me this Christmas. I immediately refused Ma. Duh. I don't even want to go out to arcades and amusement parks. All I want to do this Christmas is play games and watch movies and read books (I hope you don't turn off the wifi by the way).

I admit that he's a bit cute. Some of my classmates even admire him like a heartthrob, but nah. Not my type Ma. All he knows is how to put gel on his hair which looks like an abandoned bird's nest.

So this Christmas... Ma, you have a gift for me don't you? Please tell me you do, both you and Dad. If you still haven't bought one, I'm gonna tell you my preferences. It's up to you...

So I love reading books, as I have said earlier. I've read some of Dad's collections and I loved them. These are the books I want to read next: The Belgariad Series, The Malloreon Series, The Elenium Series and The Tamuli Series by David Eddings. And I want them on paperback Ma. I'm tired of reading on PDFs and on online platforms.

I also love playing games on my phone. It would be better if I had another one so I'd have an advantage in some games. Playing on two phones really helps a lot Ma. So... you know, if I can have another high-performance phone, that would be nice. I don't care about the camera specs. I'm not a fan of selfies anyway.

And I love watching movies. You know that already. So if you'd only let me use our big TV and install it on the wall facing my bed... Please Ma.

This Christmas, I also have some food in mind that is very appropriate for the occasion. Ma, please make another one of those pizza breads. They are more delicious than the ones in Greenwich. Dad also loves them. I'll help you buy the ingredients.

Also, I want to have bonfire night with you and Dad. I learned some songs to play in guitar. We can sing some songs while having a barbecue. I'd love that. It will definitely be better than going out with my friends.

And before going to bed, I'd love to hear your and Dad's love story: how you knew each other, how you became close, how he confessed, how you answered his love, how you spent holidays, what you do and where you go on dates. When you two are together, you seem so happy and satisfied Ma. I love watching you two love birds. Sometime in the future, I also want a fulfilling and happy life like yours. I want a husband who will love me like Dad loves you. And I also want to care for him like how you care for Dad.

Merry Christmas, Ma.

Love,

Your future daughter.
