Eyes squinting in the dark, El opened her eyes to feel rough grass underneath her. She'd fallen asleep. The girl jumped up and ran as fast as she could to get back home.
She knew that Regulus would be angry especially with death eaters roaming the streets. She knew her way around London like the back of her hand. Racing through the busy streets of London, she avoided the catcalls of drunk men and made sure she had her can of pepper spray in case.
El finally reached the familiar set of old houses when the loud rumbling sounded and she entered her childhood home.
"Where were you?"
It was a voice so eerily calm that El would have preferred the shouting.
"I'm so sorry Uncle Reg. I was in the meadows and I fell asleep and I'm sorry." She rushed.
The man slowly opened his arms as his niece settled into them. "You know you're grounded right."
"Love you too Reg." She whispered as he slowly stroked her hair, still in the fatherly embrace.
The next day, El full of energy and knew that she should practice her ballet. Ever since a young age, Regulus had been determined to get Celeste involved in as many extracurriculars as possible. He taught her languages and magic. Sport and quidditch.
So the teen rose from her light room and walked towards the once damp basement which had been renovated into a small dance studio.
The girl removed her white jumper as she quickly braided her hair into two braids. She stretched to the quiet music and felt her mind clear.
When she was all warmed up, El turned on her favorite ballet music, Clair De Lune. She turned and leaped gracefully to the music, not flattering once.
Celeste hadn't noticed the raven haired boy who had snuck down the stairs to follow the melodic sound. When he had reached the noise, he saw the slim figure of a girl twirling and leaping in ways he didn't know was possible.
The boy realized this was the girl whom he had been a little rude to since moving to his godfathers old home.
When the music faded away, El slowly stopped. She took a big gulp of water to realize that there was a tall, emerald eyed boy watching her.
A little confused she softly said, "Are you lost?"
"Um... no.. I was following the music."
He stuttered as he looked her clearly in face for the first time. Her eyes were so impossibly blue and seems to be filled with kindness. Her hair unveiled long in braids as her jaw was sharp."It's beautiful, isn't? My uncle loves the classics." She said so calmly.
"It is. Not to be rude but, who are you?"
"I'm El."
The name was so simple yet it fit her so perfectly.
"I'm Harry." There was no gasp or flicker to see his scar simply a smile.
"Must be hard then, having all this pressure on you."
"It is." He repeated.
"Après la pluie, le beau temps." She recited as the boy looked at her in question.
She simply shrugged and left the room and a young Harry Potter to his own thoughts.
